Once Upon a Time 3x10 Thoughts

• I loved the Emma/Charming scene. This is what I want more of. It was a lovely father/daughter moment, with some good advice and Charming adorably teasing Emma. "You think I'm interested in Hook? Emma, I'm a married man!" LOL.
• I had a problem with Snow deciding to kill Medusa. I’ve always had a soft spot for her so it bothered me that Snow took the story ‘monster + ability to turn people to stone’ and accepted that there wasn’t anything more to Medusa and thus it was totally okay to murder her. Snow didn’t even try to see if Medusa was a person with a story of her own.
• I did love that it was Snow who defeated Medusa (and saved Charming). Because on this show the princesses save the day. I also liked Snow being all sneaky and Charming figuring out she was up to something.
• I liked Regina backing up Tinkerbell with the Blue Fairy and trying to help her get back her wings. That was actually rather selfless there. She was even semi-polite to the Blue Fairy! Then they went and got a drink together. Dare I hope for a Regina/Tinkerbell friendship? Because that would be awesome.
• "Magic isn't the answer." - Regina. ...wow!
• I liked that it was Emma who noticed that something was off about Henry. (And not just because of jealousy about Regina.) I also liked that it was apparently Emma's idea to use the town line when releasing 'Pan' as a safety measure. Smart thinking.
• There were a couple of rather interesting Snow/Regina moments – Snow noticing Regina alone at the beginning, calling attention to her and then praising her in front of everyone for helping to save them and when they found Regina’s unconscious body it was Snow who ran to her side. I love these hints of how complicated their relationship and Snow’s feelings towards Regina are.
• I liked Neal throughout actually. I liked his short scene with Hook, and I really liked that when he asked Emma out and she felt pressured he immediately backed off and made it easier for her.
• The Ariel/Eric relationship is very meh. The kiss/reunion didn’t really work for me because all there was to their relationship was her saving him from drowning, one dance/talk with an offer to go adventuring… and then they never interacted again. This is literally the third time they met (counting the time he was mostly unconscious.) Yeah, fine, true love, whatever. There needs to be an actual relationship for it to work for me. However, unlike Cinderella, I really like Ariel which saves it some. Her actress is great and makes her really likeable. I loved Ariel’s horrified expression when Eric chopped the head off the fish, hee.
• I really missed Ruby this episode, especially when everyone arrived back in Storybrooke and she wasn’t a part of the welcoming party.
