• Dal Ja/Seon Joo are seriously one of my favourite parts of the show now. I love their friendship. I loved that they conspired together to get Ms. Kang (whose name I finally learned was Kang Shin Ja). I adored their hand-slapping and laughing afterwards. They’re pretty adorable.

• Tae Bong continues to be ridiculously sweet (he caught the bus for her) and continues to find Dal Ja’s antics amusing and adorable even when they’re kind of not (her getting angry over him making her breakfast instead of appreciating it, her list of house rules, her taking back her key).

• I liked that Seon Joo was amused by Sae Do brushing her off. I loved her torturing him by telling him, when he nonchalantly asks her later what she wanted, that she just wanted to kiss.

• I liked getting to see the softer side of Ms. Kang and how Seon Joo opened herself up to give her advice.

• Ki Joong’s neat freak tendencies amuse me and I liked that his wife admitted he did react after her bout of craziness – that had been bothering me.

• Tae Bong’s dad and Dal Ja’s mother having been teenage sweethearts and first loves is such a soap thing and I kind of love it.

“I’m sorry to have made you like this.” – Seon Joo This left a bit of a bad taste. She didn’t ‘make’ him anything.

“Why aren’t you eating?” – Tae Bong
“Hmm... if, after you eat it, you survive till tomorrow morning than I will eat. (pause) That’s from Rep Eom’s wife, she gave it to me. I’m afraid it might be poisoned.” – Dal Ja.

LOL. That was hilarious. Also when the ex-Mrs. Eom gave her the apple pie my first thought was of Snow White and I was all – don’t eat the apple (pie)! I guess using Tae Bong as a guinea pig works as well. Also it wasn’t really a pie.

“What’s missing is a heart that loves him.” – Tae Bong His reactions to Dal Ja priorities with regards to her looking for a husband make so much more sense once I learned more about his parents’ marriage in this episode. It just adds so much more meaning. I mean, what Dal Ja lists as what she’s looking for in a husband (including money and looks) seems to be exactly what drew Tae Bong’s mother to his father (as his grandfather says she liked that he was handsome, and it’s implied, to the prestige of being his wife). And Tae Bong knows firsthand how horrible that is as a basis to both a happy life and good marriage.

I think I’d forgotten how much this show is about women. There are six ‘main’ ones – Dal Ja, Seon Joo, grandma, mom, Ms. Kang and Soon Ae – and then several more in limited reoccurring supporting roles (Tae Bong’s mom, the other office girls, Ms. Eom, new additions Ji Hee and Hee Yeon). It’s just really great.
