• Grandma actually using a switch to hit Dal Ja surprised me a lot. People don’t still do that for real do they? I mean she was hitting hard enough that it even left marks!

• I found Dal Ja’s ‘goodbye’ to Ms. Kang very amusing and this part made me lol: “For the last year or two, I’d become complacent but because of your meticulous supervision and your straight and strong leadership I’ve regained my sense of anxiety, like before. You stepped on people just enough.” I love when she gets all snarky and passive-aggressive with Ms. Kang. I was definitely waiting for it to bite her in the ass. I thought it would take the form of her not really being re-hired to her old job and thus having to go back with her tail between her legs though.

• How I know I love Dal Ja/Seon Joo to a ridiculous degree – I love every little piece of interaction or hint of friendship between them. This episode gave: Dal Ja running after an angry Seon Joo and shaming her into not quitting by using the same logic/argument that Seon Joo had used to convince her to fight for her job; Seon Joo asking Ki Joong if he was sincere (because she wants to protect Dal Ja!); Seon Joo giving Dal Ja some great advice (it’s about choice not destiny; find your happiness yourself); and Seon Joo saying she ‘can’t be on anyone’s side’ which seemed clear to me meant that she couldn’t be on any of the guys sides because she was on Dal Ja’s side. ♥

• Dal Ja/Sae Do continue to be a lovely little duo. I loved Seon Joo pointing out “You two... are alike. Your problems and habits” because that is so true! I’ve thought it for awhile now so I loved another character noticing it. I love how they have their own bit of sign language that they sometimes communicate in and their own little cheers together. I like how Seon Joo is slowly becoming a part of them and making them a team. I loved the two of them telling Seon Joo that she wasn’t alone because they were there and I loved her adding her arm to theirs. My first threesomey thought happened this episode, and while I don’t actually see it in any of the relationships or ship it, when Soon Ae was telling Dal Ja to stop ‘playing’ with Seon Joo and Sae Do or she’d ‘never get a husband’ I couldn’t help but think it!

“She has conviction in her work, her thoughts, her philosophy of love. Trust her.” – Tae Bong. He is seriously such a wonderful guy. I actually kind of have to wonder at his devotion to Dal Ja. I mean I love her but, yeesh, she can be hard work! I loved him interceding with her grandmother, and bringing in some cream for her injuries and he didn’t even get any thanks for it either. Then his poor face when she agreed to leave with Ki Joong (and he’d been so happy when he saw her) – she is putting him through the ringer! He has such endless patience with her it’s kind of amazing.

• Dal Ja’s mom is Jung Ae and Tae Bong’s dad is Shin Wook. I’m guessing they’re going to end the series together. I do feel sorry for Tae Bong’s mother who, while childish and clingy and self-absorbed, is also clearly very lonely and sad.

• I liked Ki Joong saying that he ‘didn’t start it to win but because he liked her’ because that’s a good sentiment (though he seemed less certain when actually talking to Seon Joo).

• I’m guessing now that Hee Yeon is the daughter or sister of the person whose death Tae Bong feels responsible for.
