1x05 'Electric Avenue'

• The death surrounding the Beauchamp family is pretty suspicious. Mr. Thatcher's murder was attributed to Joanna, Mrs. Thatcher coughing up blood and then going insane, the principal's death (how the heck was that explained?!), Barb in the hospital and Adam dying... it's just a lot.

• I loved Wendy confronting Ingrid about Adam. It was actually a really lovely scene and there was some great Wendy and Ingrid stuff in there. On the other hand, Freya was just kind of there. She doesn't say anything to Ingrid, doesn't try to talk to her at all after she orders Wendy out and instead just leaves.

• I also really liked all the Wendy/Joanna stuff.

• Yeah, I knew Adam was going to die. Damn. Of the romantic relationships on the show Ingrid/Adam was actually my favourite. They were just super sweet together. Ghost!Adam/Ingrid would have been great. If only it weren't for the time limit ultimatum then he could stick around, be the witches' ghostly sidekick - spying on their enemies, offering a little electrical assistance. And since all witches can see him it's not like he's doomed to only being seen by Ingrid. It could work!

• I didn't entirely like how Adam's final scene played out. I thought after their previous scene that Ingrid and Adam were going to decide what to do together but then we got Ingrid's scene with her mother. I really liked that scene and I think it was necessary for there to be a mother/daughter scene but the juxtopostion of Joanna telling Ingrid that she's loved before and will love again to the graveyard scene with Adam saying he didn't want to go and wondering if he could return again ended up giving his goodbye some not great subtext. Like, it wasn't something they did decide together but rather Ingrid making the decision after being reassured that she wouldn't be alone without him. I can completely believe that Adam/Ingrid came to the decision together after that talk and his words were last moment jitters at facing the unknown of the afterlife. I just wish we could have seen their discussion.

That said those final moments were well done. I liked him telling her that he would watch over her and then as he was starting to disappear leaning in to kiss her one last time.

1x06 'Potentia Noctis'

• I was pretty surprised to see Ingrid doing another spell by herself especially considering she altered the recipe slightly and baked it into brownies. One would think after her previous attempts at doing spells - where she resurrected her aunt which lead to the man she loved dying, where she tried to counteract that first spell and almost killed herself, and where she brought Adam back as a ghost and also let ghost Elyse free which almost got Killian killed - she would swear off doing spells without adult supervision.

• I loved Freya making the antidote potion with Wendy's help and encouragement but why the hell was she doing it at the bar right where everyone could see her?!

• It's interesting that Joanna went straight to killing Archibald, and in front of his daughter, instead of something non-lethal. Like using her magic to fling him off Wendy (something that we've seen her do many times).

• Wait, so witches aren't from Earth?

• I liked the twist that Penelope is Athena. I'm really interested to see where this is going especially with Penelope and Ingrid. Athena appeared to love Ingrid, Ingrid had nothing to do with Archibald's death and in fact she died protecting Athena. On Ingrid's side she now has her memory of that life back along with her love for Athena.

1x07 'Unburied'

• The fact that Ingrid didn't even know about the kiss between Freya and Killian, which happened in the very first episode, shows just how little focus this relationship has gotten. It's annoying because it should be one of the most important of the show. I'd believe Freya's explanation of not wanting to be judged more if we'd seen her agonizing over it at all or any hint that she even thought of confiding in Ingrid.

• Enver Gjokaj! I loved him on Dollhouse (one of the best things about that show) and it's great to see him here. That said it's a little early for a new Ingrid relationship (if that's where it's going), imo.

"But you don't kill people." - Ingrid. ... Except she kind of does. All the time. Granted she seems to be on a stretch of 'let's not kill, it's bad', possibly since the early 1900 or earlier, and yet that hasn't actually stopped her from killing people.

• I understand why Joanna keeps secrets, she wants to protect her family, but you'd think at this point she would know better. I love how Wendy didn't even consider not telling Ingrid the truth.

"You're my favourite Ingrid yet." - Wendy. Aww.

• Okay, I don't understand why Joanna is keeping the key a secret from her sister.
