Once Upon a Time 3x12 Thoughts

• I really liked all the Snow/Regina scenes. I loved Snow basically ordering Regina to stay with them for "our good and for yours" and that Regina listened. I really loved the scene where Regina removed her heart and Snow convinced her to replace it. I think Snow handled Regina perfectly this episode.
• I liked Regina referring to the castle as "our castle" to Snow. I was expecting her to backslide after losing Henry but not only did that not happen we got Regina verbally aligning herself with Snow. We even get her ranting about how people don't touch her stuff and in the same breath, for the first time, giving part ownership of her castle to Snow.
• I really liked the Emma/Henry relationship too. It felt just slightly different to what their relationship was before - a little more teasing and in a way closer.
• I love that Regina made it so Emma told Henry the truth about his dad. A huge issue Henry has had with both his mothers has been them lying to him and I liked that Regina prevented that being an issue between them.
- It's interesting though that Regina left Neal the bad guy. There was no memory of reconnecting with him or forgiving him.
• I was rather excited to see where the show was going to go after unmaking Storybrooke so it was a bit disappointing that in the first episode back we're once again in Storybrooke. I'm also a little sorry that Emma got her memories back so quickly.
• I felt pretty bad for Hook especially after Emma mentioned that she had a guy she loved.
• I liked the special effects (!) on the flying monkeys. They were pretty creepy.
• "I don't run from monsters. They run from me." - Regina Love.
• It's too bad. I actually kind of liked you." - Walsh. ...So the flying monkeys aren't just animals? They can transform into humans and impersonate one flawlessly. Are they like werewolves? Were-monkeys? Do they keep that human level intelligence as monkeys? I want to know more.
I actually really hope that Walsh is still alive and that the show goes somewhere with this. I mean Emma was with him for 8 months and loved him. Those memories are real and they won't disappear. It could be really interesting.
• Okay, so Aurora feels like she has to tell the Wicked Witch that everyone has returned to the Enchanted Forest in order to protect her family - but why the wouldn't she warn Snow about her before they left?
• "Who the hell could have done this?" - Emma Seriously?! This was really annoying. Anyone else saying it and it would work. That should have been Snow's line to which Emma could have said "I have an idea" because the idea that she still has no clue is... so dumb. Her boyfriend revealed he was a flying monkey! I hate when the show makes Emma randomly less perceptive for plot reasons.
• I don't buy Regina burying her heart randomly in the forest. Her removing it sure but then to just leave it some random part of a forest and not even buried that deep? No. Even if she was going to put magical protections around it I just can't see Regina risking the chance that somebody could find it and use it to control her or kill her. It'd always be a sword hanging over her head.
• I wonder if that letter at Neal's apartment has any meaning?
