Nikita 4x02 Thoughts

• I liked the Nikita/Alex call but I am getting really antsy about their lack of screen time. My biggest issue last season, and I had several, was the lack of Nikita/Alex and now two episodes are done with only one call and it doesn't appear that the next episode will have any scenes between them either. WTH? The main relationship of the first two seasons was Nikita/Alex and I'm really annoyed by how it's been backrounded.
• I liked Nikita telling Alex to give Sam/Owen a chance. I really love their friendship and I hope we get a least one good scene between them before the end.
• So is Birkoff a mole? I doubt he's a replacement but Amanda could have been playing head games with him. Still with only four episodes left I'd prefer neither and that it's a red herring instead.
• I was expecting Nikita and Michael to make up in this episode but I don't mind Michael not being willing to just go back to how things were. Nikita hurt him a lot when she chose to leave and he apparently reacted by shoving all his feelings about it into a box and ignoring it. He's stoic professional dude now and I get that. I actually really like the idea of Nikita having to fight to get him back.
• I loved Michael taking the shot which seemed a combination of both doing what was necessary for the greater good and protecting Nikita by not forcing her to make a decision that was clearly destroying her. The way he took the trigger from her was just very gentle and you could feel his love for her.
- I wonder if this - Amanda's belief that Nikita took the shot and thus has changed and is more ruthless - is going to cause Amanda to make a mistake in how she deals with Nikita?
• I liked seeing Ryan back being an analyst. I enjoyed him being all 'What Would Percy Do?' last season but I think he works better as an analyst then a leader.
• Small moment but I did like Sonya waiting with a gun when Alex and Owen got back to the room and how she didn't even waver.
