Gravity – I really enjoyed it. Gorgeous looking film. The visuals/special effects were amazing. I regret not being able to see it in the theatres now. I liked the story. I liked Ryan Stone a lot.

The Croods – I loved it. It was surprisingly hilarious which I was not expecting at all. But I laughed the whole way through. The animation was beautiful, the characters were wonderful, I adored the various relationships, and the end was very emotionally affecting. Plus none of the random cute animals died! Which was another thing I loved - all the weird animals and plant life. Did I mention it was funny? And heartwarming. And just super loveable and pretty. [I'm trying to think of the last animated film I loved this much - Wall-E??]

Frozen – I liked it.

- Anna was delightful. I loved her. I liked Elsa and definitely felt sad for her. 'Let It Go' was great but especially how it's Elsa finally accepting and embracing her power.

- I loved the relationship between the sisters and how things played out between them. Their opening scene as kids was lovely. I really love that it was Anna’s love for her sister that saved her life. That in the end not only did she save Elsa with her sacrifice but she saved her own life as well (instead of being saved).

- Olaf, who I was not impressed by in the trailers, was actually adorable and fun. I really enjoyed him. And Olaf/Sven were great. I actually wish we'd had more of them (like their stuff from the teaser trailer). I also wish we'd had more Olaf/Anna/Elsa.

- I liked Kristoff and I loved his relationship with Sven. Kristoff talking for Sven was both amusing and cute but also a little sad. I do wish they hadn't jumped right in to him being in love with Anna - because apparently one day is worth mocking over but two or three is just fine! - and Anna immediately returning his feelings without much reflection (considering the Hans situation).

- I liked the trolls first appearance but the second was pretty meh.

- I spend far too much of the film going ‘right, but no seriously who was ruling during those three years?’ It kept bugging me! Was underage/uncrowned Elsa making the decisions and running the country from isolation? That seems unlikely. But then if there was a regent who the heck was it and where were they?

But that said I don’t really understand the hype? It was enjoyable but not any better then the previous two Disney films. In fact I liked both Tangled and The Princess and the Frog better.
