Iron Man: Legacy of Doom

- It was way more slashy then I was expecting especially the end confrontation between Iron Man/Doom and the eye-creature. When Merlin insisted that they had to put the sword into the scabbard I can't be the only person whose thoughts went to a dirty place, right? And then when the sword didn't work my thoughts immediately went to 'well, Tony is the scabbard so clearly Doom is the sword and thus Doom has to be in Tony.' I really want to read the fic now where Iron Man and Doom are forced to have dubconny sex in order to save all life on Earth.
Anyway, then we get this:
Tony: Science is my anchor, the one thing I can depend on. To accept magic goes against everything I trust!
Doom: "The trust in me. Acceptance is not always contrary to belief. Sometimes, it is merely belief in something more.
Wow. ... And Tony agrees! He thinks that Doom is a 'brilliant man' and that it's "time to take strength from my enemy". And then after accepting this 'different perspective' he notes that he 'saw a bigger world'. hands
And earlier we had Doom unfavourable comparing Iron Man to Tony. Tony would never "flee liked a whipped cur", and Tony has intellect and creativity.
- I love that they apparently have a routine now where they are forced to team up, work together well, and then have their memories erased. Are they always this slashy?
Damn it. I think I ship it now.
- I also enjoyed Doom getting Iron Man to deal with the army attacking him by threatening to do something horrible to them. And Doom successfully screwing with Iron Man and Morgana, getting his revenge, and succeeding in getting what he wanted. I think I might need to read more Doom comics.
- I loved that in a fit of hurt pique Tony buys the land the lake is on (of 'the lady of the lake' fame, where Excalibur is) and decides to build a mall on it. As a message to Merlin. Oh, Tony.
