Castle Thoughts

I enjoyed this episode.
- I am glad that the whole Bracken storyline is done. Hopefully. Beckett arresting him was very satisfying even though I don't buy it ever happening that way. For one thing he was in DC, I presume, and thus definitely out of her jurisdiction and on top of that is a very big political figure. Someone else would have been making that arrest. Then there's the fact that she's linked to the murder of Vulcan Simmons by her back-up gun and while she was framed the cassette-tape doesn't prove her innocence in that. I'm fine with them brushing it under the rug but I wish they'd given some sort of explanation for Beckett no longer being a suspect. Anything.
- My favourite part was definitely Beckettt saving herself. That was pretty awesome and badass.
- I also continue to love Beckett and Castle's relationship. They just work so well together. It was really nice to see them working as a team.
- I really liked Gates loyalty to and belief in Beckett, and that she was brought in on the truth.
- It was nice to see Montgomery again. I do find myself wondering why he never just told Kate the truth about the tape and giving it to her mom. Especially towards the end there when the truth was coming out. It could have saved his life.
6x23 'For Better Or Worse'
- I liked that it was a very light fun finale. There wasn't even a dead body! Except then there was the end which... really, show? No one is going to believe that Castle's really dead. Luckily I enjoy fake death storylines so it didn't bother me much. I just wish it had happened after the wedding. I'm assuming that it's going to have something to do with his father.
- What actually did end up bothering me a lot more was Beckett's marriage - I enjoyed the shenanigans, Castle's reaction to it and his constant teasing her, and Beckett's exasperation/disbelief at everything - but just the idea that she could be married this long without knowing it was really unbelievable to me. I mean she worked for the FB1 for awhile and I'm sure they have very thorough background checks. It would have come out then.
- I loved the short Beckett/Martha scene and Martha giving Kate her family heirloom earrings to wear. It was such a lovely little moment. I also liked all their friends and family pulling together to make the wedding happen. Captain Gates reassuring her about being nervous was also really nice.
