The 100 1x08 Review

Excellent episode.
• All the Clarke/Bellamy stuff was excellent. I am definitely shipping them at this point. I like that they called each other out on avoiding dealing with Jaha/Abby and that they saved each other. I liked their discussion after killing Dax. They really do work very well together.
• I loved Clarke getting Bellamy pardoned because of course she did. She gets shit done. He was going to deal with it by running away; she dealt with it by basically blackmailing Jaha into giving him a pardon. I also really loved her claiming Bellamy as one of them.
• "That was amazing." I loved her wide eyed surprise after firing and then her grin. I loved Bellamy's smile. Also he was definitely having some feelings about her while teaching her to shoot.
• I loved that we finally got to see into Bellamy's head and that he is in fact feeling hella guilty for the deaths of the 300 and that it's eating away at him.
• I liked that Clarke realised that she was hallucinating (the only one I think). And then continued to argue with her dad because why not, free therapy.
• I loved Octavia figuring out that Jasper was high, and how, and immediately using that to free Lincoln.
• Octavia/Lincoln, yes please. I am so there. I still don't understand why he's so attached to her but I love the way he talks to her.
• Monty and Jasper were completely adorable. I love their own version of a high five. Jasper cuddling the anti-Grounder stick was really cute. Monty definitely had the best high though. He ate an acorn because it told him too and this:
- "Is the moon in here? I can't change the tide if the moon won't cooperate! It's basic physics." - Monty. Hee.
• Raven was very cute with the high 100er. He's the cutest broom! And she gives him hugs, aw.
• Still really, really don't care about Finn/Raven or the Finn/Clarke/Raven triangle. I'm mostly just annoyed at Finn
• Here's the thing about Finn - he's not a bad guy and yet he's really freaking annoying me. He does usually make the right moral choice and he tries to help people. Looking at his choices (minus the triangle) he's a pretty good guy and I want to like him. But then he tried to keep the thing with Clarke going behind Raven's back which made me want to punch him and... just generally he's never clicked with me.
In this episode I mostly found myself rolling my eyes at the triangle drama and was annoyed with Finn for sleeping with Raven. But then he was helping contain the drugged 100 and in the biggest surprise of the episode he let Lincoln go. Wow. I think that was totally the right thing to do and he did it even though Lincoln tried to kill him. That's great. Awesome even. And yet still mostly meh on him, idk.
• Finn is certainly right that the guns are probably a bad idea. This can only end with bad things.
• Should both leaders of the 100 go off on a day trip at the same time?
• I hope Miller gets some character development before being killed off.
