Unity Day

• I in no way believe that Abby or Diana are dead. Either there are survivors at the crash site or what crashed wasn't the Exodus ship. That's a too random death for Abby and I don't think they'd kill Diana so quickly. As an antagonist she has too much potential. But then with this show who knows.

• I love, so very much, how this episode gave us three different female leaders. Clarke, acknowledged by Lincoln and Finn as the true leader of the 100; Anya, the leader of the Grounders; and Diana, leader of the Ark mutineers and wannabe Chancellor.

• I am fully onboard the Octavia/Lincoln ship now. I love so much that he's training her to be a warrior. How awesome is that?! I loved that he left her a path of flowers (aww!). I loved her sneak attacking him as part of her training and their shared pride at how good she's gotten at it. I love how gentle they are with each other, how much they trust and care for each other. Also he is really hot and she's pretty and they're very pretty together. God, he is so dead isn't he? I really hope not because they are wonderful together.

• Lots of love for Lincoln agreeing to Finn's request for a truce meeting and revealing that he considers Clarke not Bellamy the leader of the 100.

• Clarke telling Bellamy about the meeting and asking him to follow with guns as backup is on the one hand a really smart idea. She doesn't have reason to trust the Grounders any more than they have reason to trust her. Like two days ago they hunted down and killed three basically unarmed teenagers. So, sure, bring back up with weapons just in case. Very practical and smart. But on the other hand, my immediate reaction was pretty much 'noooooo'. I just knew that it was going to go so wrong.

• Clarke really has changed over the last nine episodes. It's only been two weeks or so and she's gone from someone in the first episode who would have been right there with Finn wanting peace and walking into the meeting without back-up to someone who is a lot more cautious. It's not a bad change, in fact I think it's a necessary one and I love her, just an observation.

• I liked the Clarke/Anya meeting. My favourite bit was Clarke's "I see your point." That was so awesome to me. To Clarke the Grounders have been the scary strangers who have been killing them for no reason but in meeting Anya she gets to see the other side. She knows that the flares were aimed at the Ark and they meant no harm but that doesn't erase the fact that they did cause harm. There were extenuating reasons for kidnapping and torturing Lincoln but they still did it. It's a pretty human response to react to being accused of doing wrong by doubling down on your position. Clarke instead took a breath and acknowledged that other point of view. She showed that she really does have what it takes to be a leader. (Though she's shown that before.)

"I've decided to have hope instead." - Finn. I agreed with everything Finn was saying this episode. I appreciate how much effort he put into trying to bring peace between the 100 and the Grounders. He also risked his life when he ran towards Clarke on the bridge during the attack. It was a brave thing to do.

• Favourite quote of the episode:

"Grounder princess looks pissed." - Raven
"Our princess has that effect." - Bellamy

• I felt bad for Kane. His truly last moments with his mother involved him brushing her off and rejecting her requests and then she died in his arms.

- There was a lot of mirroring of the Ark and the 100 this episode and you saw this with Clarke at the end. She convinced Bellamy to face his demons at the end of the last episode but she refused to face her own. She wouldn't forgive her mother for her father's death (and I can't really blame her, tbh) and thus refused to speak to her. Her last words with her mother were ones of anger. And now she might be dead. I really hope not.

• I enjoyed seeing Clarke relaxed and having fun for once.

• I liked the Jasper/Raven scene.

• Did Bellamy purposefully shoot to wound not kill Anya or was that just luck? Also once again Bellamy saves Clarke's life.

• I'm intrigued by this other group that Anya's people have faced before.
