Necessary Roughness 3x06 - 3x08 Thoughts

iaria3x06 'Good Will Haunting'
• I loved that Connor really went to the mat for TK. This episode really highlighted the similarities between Dani and Connor in their determination to do what's best/help their clients.
• I liked TK/Sheera in the beginning but at this point it seems pretty clear that she is all wrong for him. Maybe season 1 TK it could have worked but definitely not season 3 TK. Even beyond the bad influence I'm not actually sold on her caring for him more than caring about how he could help her career. I'm hoping they don't get back together.
• I'm annoyed by the lack of Dani/TK scenes. Their relationship is probably the cornerstone on of the show for the first two seasons but in the last couple episodes we've barely seen them interact let alone have any in depth conversations. And during a time when a lot of things are happening in TK's life that he should want to talk about. In this episode he confesses his love for Sheera and then learns that she released the sex tape of them. That's a huge betrayal and this is likely the most serious relationship he's ever had - Dani should have been the first place he went! I miss them.
• I'm also missing Dani/Nico weirdly. I think it's because I know how few episodes there are left and so I want every episode to be full of Dani/Nico. Their scenes were great and I loved him trying to comfort her but - 4 episodes! I want more.
• I'm really glad that Paloma changed her mind about working with Troy. I like her and I hope she goes to Dani about it.
• So Troy seems the obvious launderer. I'm hoping it isn't Connor because I really like him.
3x07 'Bringing the Heat'
• Dani was so great this episode:
a) Her quitting V3 was awesome. I loved her confrontation with Connor and her refusing to abandon a client. A really good scene.
b) Nico trying to pull a 'lying/keeping secrets to protect you' explanation on her and getting a resounding "No!" in return. ♥ And then she gave an ultimatum and it worked! I also loved that she was so persistent in getting in contact with him and lied so he would show up.
• Dani/Nico were great as well. The Kiss - yes! I was so worried that we'd end the series without them taking any steps back to a relationship so this made me pretty gleeful. It's been, what, a year since the end of season 2? She is over Matt finally. She's done a short sort of relationship since and has realized that she doesn't do casual. Now is the perfect time!
- I'm so happy that the lies are finally going to be over and now we can get them working together.
- I love that Dani knew saying she was in danger would get Nico to her house and that even the hint of possible danger has Nico running to her side to help.
• I loved Connor's advice to TK - "You know what chicks don't dig? Mixed messages." and Make up your damn mind.". It was great advice and blunt in a way that Dani just isn't.
• Sheera's plea at the end seemed very sincere but I don't know that I entirely buy it. Any marriage between them is never going to end well.
• TK's reaction to Dani telling him that she couldn't break up with his girlfriend for him was hilarious.
• Still kind of disappointed with TK/Dani. They actually had scenes - he asked for her help, there was a session - and yet they were a little flat? They felt kind of like an afterthought.
3x08 'A Game's Afoot'
• Nico and Dani were great again. Their first and last scenes were wonderful. I really love how much he respects her boundaries. She decides she wants to back off after the kiss, again, and he accepts it. He even smiling assures her that they've managed simple so far. At the end she's the one who brings up the future, who tells him that she'll miss him. Despite taking a step back at the beginning of the episode Dani ends it by maybe being ready to move forward.
Then there's this: "You did what you thought was right. That's what I love about you. You never give up the good fight. 'I love you's' can slip out and they can have all sorts of platonic or even casual meanings but this is Nico so I don't think it slipped out or was just a casual saying. I think it was very calculated in that he was laying his cards on the table but in a way that Dani could chose to ignore if she wanted.
• I really hope this isn't the last we'll see of Paloma. I really don't want Troy to win especially over her.
• So an experimental treatment that cause psychological instability - yeah, that's just what TK needs.
• Sheera's reaction to the prenup both being against it in the beginning and her sudden turn around at the end pretty much confirms for me that even if she does care for TK she's in the relationship more for the money and fame.
