So I haven't watched any of this show since the season 2 finale but I heard good things about the last couple episodes of season 3 and decided to check them out. I'm glad I did because I enjoyed both of them.

3x21 'Imeptus'

• That was a brilliant end. It was the perfect end for Conrad. Having Emily take him down by tricking him into doing it himself, by his own words - perfect. Even better she managed to contrive it so that Charlotte got to see the real him, that the world not only heard a list of horrible things he'd done to others but to see him be horrible to his own daughter. I don't think I ever envisioned a better takedown of him.

• I loved the final Emily/Conrad see. His expression when he realised that she was the one behind everything and then his 'god speed' encouragement in her turning her attention to Victoria. So good.

• Emily/Nolan were as lovely as ever. I love how, as always, he completely has her back.

"Do you and Aiden flip a coin for who runs the creepiest errands?" - Nolan. Heh.

• I'd forgotten how quickly Conrad could switch between someone with feelings who seemed to actually care about others to an unremorseful, malicious, despicable bastard. But wow in that scene with Charlotte he switched so damn quickly.

• This Conrad take down had better be permanent though. Not only did he confess to his part in the crash of Flight 197 and using David Clarke as his patsy but also to working with terrorists and killing Amanda Clarke. On live tv. This is not something he can realistically come back from.

• When the cop told Emily that he saw someone 'dangerous hiding in her socialite shell' and that Daniel is the one who should be worried all I could think was that the cop is the one who should be worried.

• I actually kind of enjoyed Emily and Daniel's back-and-forth at the police station.

3x22 'Execution'

Wow, so much happening this episode! I loved it.

Emily's victory this episode was far more bittersweet. The last episode ended with Emily, Nolan, Aiden and Jack happily toasting their success as Conrad went down in flames. This episode sent Victoria down in flames but none of the celebrators were there to toast it - Aiden murdered, Jack suspected and taken in for Charlotte's kidnapping, and Nolan inadvertently an accessory to murder.

• David Clarke alive! I love that twist even if it opens up a lot of questions. Like, what the hell has he been doing for the past three years while Emily's been running around the Hamptons getting revenge for him? Or the years before that when Amanda was released from juvie and restructuring her life as Emily? Why did he never try to contact her or even Nolan? What the hell has he been doing? Does he know Emily is really Amanda or does he think his Amanda is dead, murdered by Conrad?

The second biggest question, after where the hell has he been for the last 12 years, is why would he resurface now? Why go to the trouble of helping Conrad escape prison after the truth has finally come out so he could kill him? You'd think David would find Conrad spending the rest of his life in jail a fitting punishment. All I can think is that David thinks that Amily actually was Amanda and Conrad's confession to having her murdered in the previous episode brought him out of hiding for revenge.

I'm very curious to see what he thinks about Emily's revenge schemes and super excited to see their reunion and how things play out between them. Especially if he doesn't realise that she's Amanda right away. Plus he murdered Conrad, for which I can't really blame him, but it's certainly against who David Clarke used to be. It seems his death has changed him considerably. I am so interested in seeing how this affects his relationship with Emily.

• Emily's take down of Victoria was just as satisfying as Conrad's and just as perfectly fitting. Of course it's not going to last, and I don't see how Emily could think it would, but if it did? Perfect. Victoria trapped for the rest of her life in a mental hospital, where no one believes anything she says, unable to get free? That's pretty cruel.

Of course burying her alive in Amanda's grave also would have been really cruel and it would have had the added advantage of there being much less chance of Victoria getting free to keep trying to destroy Emily's life. I feel like Emily is going to regret not taking that choice.

Which leads me to - why choose this revenge for Victoria when she has to know it can't last? She even has Victoria committed under her own name. It'll take no time for Daniel/Charlotte to find her and even with her doctor on Emily's side Victoria's children will probably be able to get her out. Which then leaves Victoria loose, with full knowledge of Emily's identity and wanting revenge. I love what Emily chosen revenge and I could maybe buy it working if she had Victoria in an asylum run by one of Emily's people, under a different name, but as is? No. It makes Emily look sloppy.

• I loved the grave confrontation scene. Emily smacking Victoria in the head with the shovel was such a great moment.

• I'm kind of surprised that Dr. Banks made it out of this alive, and thus far unscathed. Not only was she the one who directly tormented Amanda but she is now an accessory to Aiden's murder and I can't see Emily just ignoring that. I imagine that as soon as Victoria finds herself free, Dr. Banks is going to need to watch her back. I personally really want to see what horrible thing Emily has in store for her. It would feel so wrong if she actually gets away with everything. Or! Maybe David has his own revenge plan in store for Dr. Banks?

• Conrad appears to be 100% dead. I suppose after the live confession even the show knew there was no where for him to go. I loved his expression when David pulled out the knife - just complete resignation. He knew it was the end.

• Victoria killing Aiden, and personally at that, surprised me. Has she every killed anyone herself before? Wait, I think she shot someone but nothing as personal as smothering. And not only did she poison and then smother Aiden but she then moved his dead body to Emily's livingroom and posed him as a gift to Emily. Super cruel. Possibly the most evil thing Victoria has ever done. Victoria has always been the more sympathetic of the elder Graysons but this has taken her into pretty unforgivable territory.

• Victoria's rage at Emily over Pascal's death, to the extent that she murdered someone to hit back at her over it, seems kind of displaced. I mean it was Conrad who shoved him into the propeller. Did she think Emily was working with Conrad against Pascal? Except that doesn't make much sense.

• I loved the scene of Nolan comforting Emily after Aiden's death.

• I'm kind of surprised that David left Conrad's body in the road. You'd think having Conrad simply disappear would be more useful.

• I really enjoyed Emily kicking the ass of Victoria's minion. (Snd - killing him?)

• Jack being questioned for Charlotte's kidnapping is one of Emily's schemes coming around to bite someone in the ass again. Poor Charlotte and poor Jack. I do see a possible fix for this - blame it on Aiden. He kidnapped Charlotte for reasons before letting her go and then killing himself out of guilt? IDK, something like that. Or you know - possibly it's time to just bloody well tell Charlotte the truth?

• Daniel set up for maybe murder - and for once it's not Emily behind it. My dislike for him is still there but I'd love if he and Emily were forced to work together. Them sniping at each other in the previous episode was fun. Other than that I don't really care about his storyline.
