Boogie Knights

This was a great episode.

• I did not see Joanna/Alex coming at all. Wow. I love it. Of course re-watching the 70's scene with them their silent exchange when Joanna introduces Alex as her 'friend' makes it seem so obvious. It was an awesome and unexpected reveal.

• I like Alex. I hope she sticks around for awhile and doesn't die like Victor.

• So why exactly did Joanna break up with Alex? She said she was afraid - of Alex's ability? That just doesn't make sense to me. Alex was 'too intense'? It would have made more sense if Joanna unreasonably blamed Alex for Freya/Ingrid's deaths during that life (blaming it on Freya's reaction to Alex's fortunetelling which would also go with Joanna's reaction when Wendy wanted her fortune read.)

• Dash can't be dead, right? There will be psychosis in the next episode, which could be fun, and then they'll figure out some why to save him. I've been enjoying him this season and I really don't want him to die.

"The mate's not innocent, they're collateral damage." - Alex. I don't think one rules out the other? Also that first line makes me wonder if 'the mate' has to chose to be the Mandragora's mate and that's why they're not innocent. I don't care what stupid reason they give for it but I'm crossing my fingers that this is something Ingrid chose.

• I can't judge Dash at all for giving the death to the murderer/thief instead of back to Sammy. Now if he takes from this that he has the right to play god and save/kill according to his own morals that's definitely going to be a problem. But in this specific situation? I completely understand why he made the decision he made.

• Dash/Ingrid continue to be really great together.

• Freya was smoking hot in the opening dance scene.

• '70's Killian and Freya were kind of dumb. They were not at all subtle about their affair for one thing. They could only have been less subtle by actually making out on the dance floor. Idiots. For another why the hell would Killian keep working at Dash's club after Freya broke up with Dash, and why would she go back there at all? So dumb.

• Joanna's goodbye to Victor was lovely but seriously no reaction from Freya or Ingrid? Ingrid especially sticks out because we at least we saw Freya's devastation after his death. Does Ingrid even know her father is dead? Because it certainly doesn't seem like it. She's literally had no reaction to it - she doesn't seem even a little sad or upset. All they need was a short moment between her and Freya at the beginning, or her and Dash. Now it's just weird.

• I loved Freya's potion and despite Ingrid's disapproval I'm really surprised neither of them tried that sooner. Yes, Ingrid had a bad experience from the last time she tried to learn about the past but isn't it better to know? Certainly that past life proved to have lasting effects in their current one. If I knew I had many past lives I'd definitely want to know all about them. It's especially interesting that neither seemed to even consider trying to use it to remember their first life back on Asgard. With Frederick back and their grandfather a potential issue again why wouldn't they want to remember?

Also every remembrance Freya had of the past was of Killian - was she in control of what she saw and thus saw her times with him because that's what she wanted to see? Or does every one of her lives inevitably end up revolving about him and their star-crossed love? Did she get to experience other parts of her lives?

• Wendy didn't do much but I'm glad that she's back and involved with the main mystery/story line again. She did get a couple great lines - her telling Alex "I'm not a waitress, get your own." was rude but amusing, and then wishing she could feed off sex like the Mandragora also amused me.
