Teen Wolf 4x09 and 4x10 Thoughts

• I loved Braeden and Derek showing up at the school to rescue everyone and saving the day. They looked so good. I'm pretty worried that she's either going to betray him or he's going to die. Is it too much to ask for them to be awesome partners instead?
• Scott and Derek's relationship makes me happy. I loved that Scott took Parrish to Derek to find out what he was. I liked his worry for Derek. I loved Derek reaching out his hand to help Scott up and Scott taking it. I loved Scott's little smile and Derek slapping his arm. They've come so far!
• The big question here though is - how the hell does it work that Derek is a better fighter now then as a werewolf? It's mind-boggling but whatever, I'll take it. My fanwank - before Derek relied on his strength/senses in a fight but never actually learned to fight. So when he started to lose his abilities he became more serious about learning how to protect himself.
• I like Mason. Him pulling the plug on the music was great. He had no idea what was happening but he made a decision based on what he saw and trusted Scott. I also liked his conversation with with Liam about wanting him drunk because then he might tell Mason the truth - not because he wants to know but because he wants to help. I like how not pushy he is. I really like their friendship.
• Wow, I guess with all the deaths among the deputies Sheriff Stilinkski has been scraping the bottom of the barrel with his new hires. My suggestions for new hires to replace them: Derek, Braeden, Chris (he's not doing anything now right?)... uh. I don't even know who could take the other two spots. Maybe Rafael (he says he's serious about wanting to be there for Scott) and Satomi (she kicks a lot of ass).
• But seriously there is so much wrong with this. The fact that there would be four deputy's that would murder three teenagers. What the fuck is wrong with them? That their plan was to burn them alive in the hallway of the school while a giant party was happening right outside. WTF? Idiots. Plus why is Haigh in charge and why would he say 'burn them' when that spectacularly didn't work on Parrish?
• Lydia being forced to listen to her grandmother's murder was pretty horrible. I loved Stiles trying to help her not listen and his rage over it. This was a really good episode for their friendship.
• I can't believe Scott waited this long to tell Derek that his name was the third cipher. I do love how in stride Derek took it. He seems to be in a really good place right now weirdly enough and it makes me happy.
• I'm really happy that Derek is off the dead pool but I doubt that's going to keep him safe. I am curious why Derek's 15m bounty all went to Liam? What makes him so important?
4x10 'Monstrous'
• I loved the opening. The twist that the girl wasn't running away from the guy but that they were together. Kira showing up to cut an arrow out of the air with her katana, saving them at the last second. It was dramatic and great.
• So Peter has been the mastermind behind this season. What exactly is his plan (since he didn't know about his coma ravings)? Kill Scott, become the alpha... the end? It feels like there has to be more to it.
• I loved Scott, Kira, Derek, Braeden and Chris coming together to protect the rest of Satomi's pack/miscellaneous supernatural creatures. And Derek gave a speech that actually kind of worked and didn't get shot, so yay him. Also I loved this exchange:
Derek: They've got claws and fangs but they're not fighters.
Scott: That's why I called you.
Derek: Well try and remember that I don't have claws and fangs anymore either.
Braeden: That's why he called me.
• I enjoyed Peter. His confusion over the situation with Meredith and him being rattled at the end was great. Just how rattled is he? Also I really can't blame coma!Peter for his rage post-fire even if the direction it took was wtf?
• "She was listening to the ranting and raving of a lunatic. (pause) A former lunatic. I'm much healthier now." - Peter. Hee.
• I kind of love the idea that the whole dead pool happened because Meredith got stuck in a room with crazy, raving post-fire Peter for weeks which drove her crazy. So really if you take the line of responsibility all the way back this is all Argent's fault. Well, Kate and Gerald.
• The Scott/Liam scene was lovely. It makes complete sense that he would be scared and not want to be involved in everything. I love how understanding Scott was. I also liked Scott's mention that not all of them have survived.
• Man, this town. Stiles and Malia's greetings were hilarious. 'Yeah, got punched in the face by a series killer' vs 'almost set on fire but it's all good'. lol. Their make-up was sweet though I wanted Malia to make Stiles suffer a little bit more. I don't think he really realises why what he did was wrong.
• The nuts and bolts of how everything played out don't work that well for me. Mostly because it leaves me confused. Those computer servers in the wall at Lydia's house make no sense. Why the hell were they in there? How did Meredith get access to them? Who exactly did what as far as making and distributing the deadlist? If Brunski stole the Hale money why wouldn't he have taken the 117 million dollars and retired on a tropical island?
