Witches of East End 2x09 & 2x10 Thoughts

iaria2x09 'Smells Like King Spirit'
• Wow, I was not expecting Freya and Ingrid to be killed. The image of them hanging from the tree was pretty disturbing. That was well done, as was Joanna and Wendy's reaction. Of course their curse is in part them being reincarnated so this isn't permanent but would the show really do a time skip?
• So the Eva storyline turned out to be pretty anticlimactic and seems to have nothing to do with anything except to be used to keep Freya and Killian treading water. We didn't even get an awesome Freya/Eva showdown. Meh.
• After Ingrid's reaction to the truth about Dash I found their interactions this episode a little head-scratching. She seemed way too calm with him. I did love how she dealt with him though - I love her firmly telling him that doing the right thing was for him, not to get her back because that wasn't going to happen.
• It bugs me how separate Ingrid's storyline was from everything else. She didn't even tell her family about what happened with Dash. It's weird.
• I liked Killian calling Dash on his excuses over what happened. That said their fight seemed a little extreme.
• How could Tarkoff think that killing Freya and Ingrid, and leaving them at the Beauchamp house as a 'gift', was a good idea? How would that endear himself to Joanna at all? He had to have known there was nothing he could do to infuriate her more and turn her against him permanently. Also wouldn't they have had more value as hostages?
2x10 'The Fall of the House of Beauchamp'
• Joanna/Wendy were wonderful. I loved Wendy taking care of her sister. They were the best part of the episode.
• I felt bad for Killian. These were a couple of pretty horrible days for him. He learns that his wife has been mind-controlling him into loving her, then she dies immediately after in his arms, then he learns his brother has been lying to him and tried to kill him and then he discovers that his soulmate has died.
• I was kind of expecting Dash and Killian to team-up after learning of the girls deaths' to bring them back with the black magic spells of their grandfather's. A bit disappointed that that didn't happen.
• Man, Dash just deals with any issue in his life by sleeping around doesn't he? Plus he moves on quick.
