The Blacklist 2x04 Thoughts

+ I really appreciate how consistent Liz has been this season as far as her attitude towards Red goes. A big issue I had last season was her wavering, constantly going back-and-forth about him, even though I did understand most of it. The fact that multiple times she went "I'm done" and then went back didn't help. I also hated her asking questions, him side-stepping and her letting him - over and over and over. So her attitude towards him is working for me.
That said I also find myself missing the wonderful Red/Liz moments that season one had. Their relationship is what sold me on this show and their interactions this season have been kind of mild and lacking the emotion and intensity last season had. It's like the show has dialed back on them. I suppose in show it could be Red respecting Liz's new walls though he rarely has before.
I'm actually torn on this. I want more unexpected bonding and intensity but I also really like what they're doing with Liz. This isn't where I thought the show was going based on how last season ended - which implied them getting closer - but I love that Liz is angry and suspicious. She has every reason to be! I like that she's apparently decided to do her own thing, separate from Red, to learn the truth. I think it's a good direction for the show to go in, especially for Liz's characterisation. But I still miss Red/Liz.
+ So Lizzie totally has Tom locked up in that warehouse, doesn't she? ... I love that. Oh, please be true.
+ Mystery guy got revealed sooner than I thought he would. I actually wasn't expecting him to be one of Red's people weirdly enough.
+ I assume we were supposed to see the connection between Dr. Creel's experiments and what's been happening to Liz for the past year of her life (or so). She's pretty much gone though all three stages at this point. I'm just not sure where the show is going with this.
+ "Why would I do that? I trust you implicitly Agent Keen." - Aram. Aram's the best. I also really love the Aram/Liz friendship which is low-key but lovely.
+ Mr. Kaplan going off on Monica about how she treated her dog amused me. Taking the dog from her was a bit extreme though - she seemed to love him, he looked healthy... on the other hand if she seriously didn't have water bowls out for him that is a big issue. My problem is actually Red involving her at all. What even was the point?
