2x04 'Face My Enemy'
I liked it. It was fun.
• This was a great May/Coulson episode. Kind of shipping them now. I loved them reminiscing about their past. I liked their dancing. I enjoyed watching them on a mission together. But the very best thing was their devotion and complete loyalty to each other which was hit on over and over. Coulson trusts May and only May to take over for him - ♥. May does in fact have a plan if Coulson loses it and that's getting him out of there (and squirreling him away to the Australia Outback) "The point is no matter what happens I'll take care of you." ♥
• May was great. I loved getting to see her smile, even if it was fake. She had a lot of great lines too.
• I really liked the team bonding though there was a bit too much focus on Lance. Also what about Trip's ex's?
• I loved the little Trip/Skye we got.
• "Yeah she's laughing. I think the worst of it's over now." - Coulson. Everyone's being all shocked and disturbed was amusing and I loved Coulson's fond smile.
• Sunil running off with the painting annoyed me because there is no way May left him conscious when she left that room.
2x05 'A Hen in the Wolf House'
It was okay.
Liked
• I like Bobbi. She's really competent which is great. I like the actress thus far.
• Fitz admiring Mack's physique via subconscious Jemma was excellent. I would totally be there for Fitz/Mack.
• "Oh please, I'm not going to have this conversation with myself again." - Fitz. Heh.
• I enjoyed Skye/Coulson a lot. We finally got a bit of their season 1 relationship back which made me happy. I loved their confrontation. Their hug and him comforting her was lovely.
• I liked: Bobbi saving Jemma, Jemma's wide-eyed yay reaction to Bobbi, Trip saving Bobbi and Jemma, the Jemma/Trip reunion and Trip being amused about Jemma's gushing about Bobbi.
• I loved Trip and May laughing in the background during the Lance/Bobbi meeting.
• I like how everyone seems to know each other. I thought based on the pilot that Lance was a stranger to everyone else but whatever. I'm enjoying all this history between everyone that we keep getting glimpses of.
Didn't Like
• I really didn't like how Raina was used this episode. Really, really. I was excited when she showed up again and I'm regretting that now. She spent the whole thing terrified, bouncing between three men, all of whom threatened her life. She was a helpless pawn. It just left me feeling very ugh.
• It didn't make a lot of sense to me for Coulson to let Jemma and Bobbi's covers to be blown. Especially letting Bobbi who was solidly within Hydra. Coulson had clearly had everything set before meeting with Raina so why couldn't they have figured out how to get Jemma out without compromising Bobbi? Why not go along with Raina - which would lead them to another potential enemy? The whole thing felt super short-sighted to me.
• Not a fan of Skye's dad going to Whitehall to team up against Coulson. I really did love there being different fractions.
• Jemma's fangirling of Bobbi hovered between understandable/great and feeling like the writers were trying too hard to push Bobbi as 'the most awesome/bestest ever' which always annoys me.
• Skye's 'crying' was really fake especially when Lance arrived and it was clear she hadn't been crying.
