Doctor Who 8x09 Review

I loved this episode! The best of the season for me. It's nice to be so excited and happy about the show again.
+ I very much enjoyed the exploration of who the Doctor is and how he operates through Clara being forced to be the Doctor. It worked really well and was done really well. There were so many moments I loved but the ones that stick out were the Doctor's line about her "throwing her companions into the deep end", him telling her once they reached the warehouse that they were at a "vital stage" and she had to make sure she took control of the situation and his 'welcome to my world' when Clara worriedly hopes she can keep everyone alive.
+ Clara says that the first rule of the Doctor is turning his enemies strengths against them (a good rule) but according to River it's "the Doctor always lies" which I think is more right.
+ I really liked Rigsy. Curious, clever, brave and willing to act - he has all the makings of a great companion. I hope we see him again.
+ "What are you a doctor of?" - Rigsy
"Well I'm usually very vague about that. I think I just picked the title because it makes me sound important." - Clara.
LOL. Loved the Doctor's reaction. Clara's mocking/teasing of the Doctor is my favourite aspect of their relationship.
+ I loved the mini-TARDIS. The Doctor sticking his hand through (especially while it was in her purse) was a great sight gag and I loved the bit with the sledgehammer a ridiculous amount.
+ I liked the Doctor calling Clara on lying to Danny.
+ I loved the shot of George standing there and as Clara slowly moves he's revealed to be a two-dimensional 3-d painting.
+ I felt sorry for Rigsy when Clara just brushed off his work. He looked so down.
+ The Doctor moving the TARDIS like 'Addams Family' was awesome. The best really. Also his little victory dance afterwards was kind of delightful.
+ I love the TARDIS's 'siege mode'. Very neat.
+ I loved how Clara dealt with Rigsy's attempt at self-sacrifice. Him willing to sacrifice himself was great and her gentle mocking and using her headband was great. I liked that scene.
+ "Doctor. What would you do now? (pause) No. What will I do now." - Clara. Loved this moment.
+ Clara's plan was really clever. She was great the whole episode.
+ I liked the Boneless monsters a lot. They were scary and interesting. I liked that the Doctor didn't jump to them being bad guys at first and tried to communicate with them.
+ "You were an exceptional Doctor, Clara. Goodness had nothing to do with it." - Doctor. Hmm. It makes me think of Twelve asking Clara if he was a good man.
+ This was rather dark in a couple ways - all those people made into 2 dimensions were actually killed (I was sure they would be saved) and to add to the reality of the situation one of the people they did manage to save was thoroughly unlikable and a bit of a nasty person. I actually liked that bit a lot.
+ The only thing I really didn't like was Danny apparently being 'territorial' about Clara keeping things in the TARDIS.
