The Blacklist 2x07 'The Scimitar' (No. 22)

• Liz was excellent. She figured out really quickly that there was something wrong at the 'hospital, confirmed her suspicions, disabled various guards and escaped with Ressler. Later, she makes the Scimitar and saves the scientist Collins. She also very effectively threatened Berlin's arms dealer into giving up Berlin.

• Still not enough Red/Lizzie but I liked what we got especially their scene in the car when he tells her that he doesn't believe her.

• The Samar stuff as great. She sold me on her line to Red that "my partners are my highest priority" whereas before this point I really wasn't sure where she stood. Of course she has a lot of different loyalties pulling her (Mossad, the tskforce, Red, plus the situation with her brother) so it ill be interesting to see where she goes. I really want some more Samar/Liz scenes/bonding.

• My theory at the end of last season was that Liz was Berlin's granddaughter and I'm kind of sad that that's been jossed. I do think the timeline doesn't entire work since Zoe seems far too young to be the daughter Berlin has talked about. At the youngest she should be 40 or so which the actress really doesn't look.

Haven 5x08 'Exposure'

It was okay.

Liked:

• Audrey figuring out the case and helping someone with a Trouble just like old times was great. She was still a little shakey (ugh to wondering if she could do it without Nathan) but gained confidence and I loved her using her new vulnerability to her advantage.

• I loved Mara calling Nathan "your boyfriend" with regards to both Duke and Audrey.

• Audrey telling Duke "I don't trust her but I trust you." ♥ And of course because it's Audrey Duke does what she wants.

• It was nice to see Seth again. He added some needed lightness to the episode. I loved his glee after Audrey disappeared.

Didn't Like:

• I'd probably enjoy this show a lot more if I still liked Audrey/Nathan but at least I didn't find them actively unlikable this ep. Well, that bit at the end where they decide they deserve to be together made me roll my eyes.

• I don't like that once again Duke was mostly stuck off with Mara for most of the episode. Also the fact that it still looks like the show is going in a Duke/Mara direction.

• When Mara brought up Duke's mother I was really hoping that the show would do something really interesting with her. Maybe she would be introduced in a future episode somehow tied into everything. Instead we got a cliche user/druggie/bad mother backstory.

• Vince and Dave were super boring.
