Once Upon a Time 4x07 Thoughts

+ I loved the Emma/Ingrid scenes.
+ I don't buy that Emma's family would ever turn against her, Ingrid was wrong about that. But she was right when she pointed out that Emma grew up and spent the first 28 years of her life feeling abandoned and alone. I love when the show deals with this. IMO, the saddest part of this series is the Emma/Snow/Charming relationship and how being a family was taken away from them. I love their attempts to rebuild that bond and the ways it works and sometimes fails. The opening scene with Emma/Snow and baby Neal was painful but good.
+ I always love Emma using her powers.
+ I find Regina/Robin very meh. The way the show is approaching the whole Regina/Robin/Marian situation isn't working for me at all.
+ We haven't been getting much Henry/Emma scenes. I found it weird when the camera pulled back and I realised that Henry was at the police station too and yet he said nothing the whole time.
+ Rumpelstiltskin's apparent plan came out of nowhere for me. Was Ingrid right? Global domination is just so out of left field. That is not where I thought his motivations/storyline was going.
+ Ingrid's backstory as a whole was mostly blah for me (far too much of a retread of Frozen) but it did make Ingrid's current motivation and plan - to have Emma and Elsa as her new sisters - work for me a lot more. [As did what Ingrid said to Emma.]
+ I like Emma and Elsa's interactions and growing friendship but I really wish we could get some more substantial scenes between them. With Emma's loss of control of her powers this would be the perfect time to give them a meaty scene or two of them helping each other.
