Her Stance on Handling an Unsuitable Relationship

• I really like how much respect Dal Ja’s co-workers have for her and that they do genuinely like her (despite all the craziness that’s been happening around her.) I also loved that Dal Ja was the one who took control of the situation and how she did it.

• I liked the scene between Dal Ja, Sae Do and Soo Ji where her two friends took opposite sides of the Gi Joong issue and Sae Do showed once again that he and Dal Ja actually are friends now.

• I loved the scenes at Seon Joo’s house. I loved Dal Ja calling Tae Bong over, and her making soup for Seon Joo and the three of them bickering over it. It felt really homey. Seon Joon smiling to herself as she listened to them arguing in the kitchen made me go aww but also feel really sad for her. I just wanted to hug her. I liked that the food turned out to actually be delicious. And I loved Dal Ja’s telling Seon Joon to take the week off and not to worry because she’ll explain to their boss. I hope we get more scenes like this.

• “It’s because she’s lonely.” – Dal Ja. I love that Dal Ja understood Seon Joon so perfectly. Of course she would.

“I should either fall into adultery or die lonely as an old maid. Those could be the only two choices I have.” – Dal Ja. *eyeroll* Oh, please. There are tons of men out there! She’s being ridiculous.

• Tae Bong continues to be adorable in his honest caring and appreciation for Dal Ja. I love how the show is showing him fall for her. “You have your own charm. ... So you should have more confidence in yourself.” Aww. Of course, Dal Ja just thinks that he is lying to comfort her just like she asked him too. And of course she misunderstands when he then hugs her. They are just so lovable. I like how he reacts to her by either being moved or finding her endearing/cute instead of being annoyed by her. I just find their interactions and roles in the relationship refreshing. Also Tae Bong continues to give her great advice – this time about how dating a married man doesn’t suit her and it isn’t who she is. He seems to be becoming her best friend and I like that.

• I loved the brief Seon Joo/Dal ja scene. Seon Joo sniping and being a bit bitchy in front of everyone else and then once they’re alone murmuring “Thanks for yesterday.” and then when Dal Ja is all ‘what’ she replies “Forget about it if you didn’t hear it.” Oh, the walls that woman has. I really want to know more about her and how she became so closed off. And I want her and Dal Ja to become close friends.

“I just can’t cross this line.” – Dal Ja. I’m really glad that she made that choice. I’m not a big fan of cheating, and while I don’t actually think this really counts (it’s been two years and he clearly doesn’t want anything to do with his wife) for Dal Ja this really is the only choice she could have made. I found it interesting that when we get his wife’s view of them we see him push the watch back to Dal Ja, after she just told him she couldn’t accept it because once she does once it’ll make it too easy to accept other gifts, and then they start pushing it back and forth.

• Ki Joong was clearly intrigued by Dal Ja after everything that happened between them in the previous episodes, and he appeared to find her drunk call amusing and adorable, but I think the scene where she rejects him because of her morals is where he starts to really like her and possibly even fall for her.

• I’m guessing, from how things played out in Tae Bong’s side plot this episode, that the people hunting him aren’t actually debt collectors but actually people who work for his father who we see this episode as ‘the old man’. I’m thinking that Tae Bong is actually from a rich/powerful family and he ran away to live his own life outside of his family’s expectation.
