Castle 7x11 Thoughts

This was great. Very fun. I really enjoyed it.
+ I think TPTB’s decision to banish Castle from the precinct for awhile and have him work as a P.I. turned out to be a good idea. It shakes the show up just enough. I loved that it ended up turning into a competition on who could solve the case first.
+ All the Castle/Beckett stuff was delightful. I loved Beckett’s Sherlock-inspired gifts for him at the end and how excited she was for him to open them. I loved them coming together mid-episode to share info and then joyously solve something together leading to sexytimes and a fun/sexy morning after. I loved that Beckett let Castle be in on the arrest.
I loved this: “People do insane things for their kids. You’ll see.” I love how casual Castle said it and Beckett's smile.
+ The phone call between Beckett (/Ryan/Espo) and Castle (/Alexis) was fun.
+ I loved Ryan filling in for Castle with the off-the-wall theories and the little Ryan/Castle bro moment at the end. I love their friendship. Also Esposito calling Ryan “baby Castle”, lol.
+ Perlmutter vs Castle was hilarious.
+ I loved the little Beckett/Martha moment at the beginning where they kissed each other good morning.
+ “Okay, I can see you’re upset.” - Castle. LOL. I loved that Gates backed him into a wall with the force of her anger, heh.
