Person of Interest 2x19 Thoughts

I loved it. This was such a great Finch episode. I loved all the chess playing happening throughout.
+ My favourite scene was Finch/Shaw. I loved everything about it. I love how they talk to each other. I love the sparring and their cautiousness and the tension.
- 'Halfway house for retired assassins', heh. I'd be fine with that.
- I love the way Finch says "I guess" after saying that working for him would 'be a bit of a come down from saving the world' - as if some people would agree with that statement but those people would be wrong.
- "Hanging around a derelict library with you, your poorly socialized guard dog and Bear here." - Shaw. Heh. Yes please! Also I love Reese as Finch's guard dog.
- "Awfully trusting of you, now isn’t it?" - Shaw
"I’m quite confident, Ms. Shaw, that you are the first person that's ever said that to me." - Finch. Hee. I could practically see Ben in that moment.
- I love that Finch hacked the CIA to clear Shaw's former partner's name.
- Shaw now turning her attention to tracking down Root - awesome. So looking forward to how that plays out.
+ Finch to Bear after Shaw leaves: "Traitor" LOL.
+ Finch/Elias were great. I loved his "give John my best" exit line.
+ Finch's timing in entering their secondary location being just after Monica asks Reese 'we' was just too perfect. He was totally waiting right outside for the perfect moment wasn’t he?
+ I loved Monica. I loved how intelligent and competent and moral she was. The way she refused to back down. I looked her up to see if she'd be back but sadly no. It's a shame because she would make a great reoccurring character.
+ I loved Monica/Finch and I'm kind of shipping them now. Their first meeting was adorable. I loved Finch gushing about her to Reese. Finch’s smile when Monica was hacking into Rylatech was sweet. They have so much in common, they have a lot of mutual respect for each other, she is fabulous - why not?
+ Loved “if you two would rather be alone” and John’s grin over it. So adorable.
+ Based on Finch's reaction to Monica's interest in IFT it has to be one of his companies.
+ LOL to Bear as decoy. I love Bear and how the show uses him. But I'm surprised that they weren't more worried that a guard would shoot him.
+ So why couldn't Finch go in to Rylatech since he I assume still works there and has his own ID?
+ Damn did I call it. Cal was both innocent and then killed. I just wasn’t expecting it to be so soon. It made me really sad even though I was so sure it was going to happen. Poor Cal. Poor Carter.
+ I loved Fusco gently leading Carter away from Cal's body. And how protective he was when he confronted Cal earlier in the episode.
+ Why wouldn't the Machine have warned them earlier about Cal? It had to have known earlier and they pretty much had no chance to save him.
+ I loved Finch calling Carter and offering both his condolences and his help in Szymanski's murder.
