The 100 2x10 Review

It was good but definitely one of the weaker episodes of the season for me.
• By far the best and most interesting storyline was the Clarke/Lexa one. They are awesome and perfect. Oh, please, please do not let this awesome Grounder friendship end the way Clarke's last one did. It would make me so sad. We got so much bonding and Lexa acknowledging that Clarke's feelings aren't a weakness for her and Clarke saving Lexa and Lexa continuing to try and mentor Clarke and I love it all.
+ "Mockery's not the product of a strong mind, Clarke." - Lexa. LOL.
+ I especially loved this bit: "Do you want to know why I saved you? Because I need you. God forbid one of your generals becomes commander. You may be heartless, Lexa, but at least you're smart." I loved Lexa's smile. Also this: "I was wrong about you Clarke. Your heart shows no sign of weakness." I really, really love Lexa's crush on Clarke. Lexa/Clarke 4ever! Also her guarding a sleeping Clarke around a campfire reminded me of that Bellamy/Clarke scene.
Clarke's explanation was both truth and lie. This reason is completely valid and I believe it is part of why she's determined to keep Lexa alive. But in the heat of the moment Clarke wasn't thinking of strategy or the future, she was thinking of survival and she couldn't not try and save Lexa. It's part of why she is such a great leader.
• I am worried about the revelation of the Grounder's belief in reincarnation and that the previous Commander's spirit chooses her successor and that it is leading up to Lexa's death and Clarke being chosen as her successor. I just really don't want Lexa to die. I'm loving her and her relationship with Clarke. I think we need some Grounder main characters and there are enough fractions on the ground that Lexa can easily stick around. The more I think about it the more worried I'm becoming about her fate.
• Octavia's storyline was great. I'm loving her evolution into a warrior and her training to become Indra's Second is an excellent turn. I loved Indira being all impressed by Octavia's strength of spirit. I can't wait to see where this goes and all the torn loyalties that are sure to ensure.
• (do you have faith in him?) "I do." and (will he get inside) "He will." So much love for Clarke's complete belief and trust in Bellamy.
• Soooo... is this the end of dark!Clarke? Has she decided that the whole "love=weakness, emotions=bad" doesn't in fact work for her and that whole plot point is over? Because we didn't actually get any 'dark' Clarke and thus this is a super quick turn around even for this show. It's a little confusing but okay.
• "He shouldn't have attacked my ship." - Clarke. ♥ I really love that she didn't apologize because he was trying to kill her and her people and she did what she needed to protect them. That's how it goes.
• Where the hell were Abby and Raven? Their complete disappearance in this episode was so bizarre and made no sense. Was Abby back at Camp Jaha and if so why wasn't she helping Kane and the one patching up Octavia? So she had to still be at Lexa's village. Probably Raven too, in charge of the radio?
• Kane was actually a pretty good choice for liaison to the Grounders and peacemaker between the sides. He did as well as anyone could have and he recognised Octavia's awesomeness which was nice to see. I am glad that Octavia didn't agree to spy for Kane.
• Poor Bellamy. I think he just needs to give up on having guy friends, lol. First Murphy, then Finn and now Lincoln. It doesn't really work out for him.
• I loved this line: “The world’s been trying to turn me into a monster for as long as I can remember.” - Lincoln. Hopefully this time doesn't stick either and they manage to save him.
• Jaha... sigh. Just, okay whatever. I was going 'nooo, Murphy, don't do it' but alas he didn't listen. Well, at least he'll liven up that storyline and I am interested to see more of the world. I have to address this though: <>I"We've both been betrayed and imprisoned by our own people." Uh huh. Yeah, that is totally what happened in both cases. His martyr complex is getting out of hand. This is not going to lead anywhere good.
• I was surprised by Major Byrne's death. She's been given enough screen time that I thought she was going to have a bigger role. Or at least that her death would be more meaningful. That was totally a Red Shirt death! And here I was pleased to see her hanging around in the background as Clarke's bodyguard.
