The Kenyon Family (No. 71)

"I wish you'd stop. Stop trying. Stop hoping things will get better between us. You and me it's just business. That's all it's ever going to be." I'm continuing to like how the show is dealing with the latest Liz/Red split. It's working for me much better for me then the previous ones for several reasons. 1) Liz isn't lashing out at Red. She's declared their relationship business only and she's been sticking with it. She's been completely professional. 2) Liz is still keeping her distance/sticking with her decision whereas in times past she'd already be having 'moments' with Red. The fact that she isn't going back to their old relationship yet gives her behaviour and choice more weight.

Poor Red. He was clearly so hurt after Liz left. I love that he is still trying to take care of her. This time by buying her an apartment and trying to convince her to leave the motel which is only hurting her ability to heal and move forward.

Glen was a lot of fun. I loved every second of the Glen/Red interactions. I very much enjoy Glen's commitment to messing with Red. It's hilarious. The fact that it works is the best part. Red finds him so aggravating and actually shows it. "This is what you want. To see me get all lathered up! You're pathological, you realise that right?" LOL. Red's rant was great. I have to agree with his assessment considering that Glen immediately messes with Red again over Finch's name. I also loved Red's expression when Glen confessed he was 'screwing with' Red with the whole sad backstory. And the deep internal scream you could see in his eyes when he realises that Glen had them searching, for hours, in the wrong apartment.

"She's missing." I loved that this was the first thing Samar said to Red. Of course she knows exactly where Red's interest lies and the best way to get his attention. It's just not remarked on very often.

I loved Samar talking down Finn. It was very badass and just a really well done scene.

I liked the scene where Finn was reunited with his mother. I was impressed with Finn's actor. He was really good.

So we're not going to get anything on the Watcher who killed David then? Like, who was he or why did he kill David? It's not important to the show overall but just kind of weird. It feels like something was cut from the episode.

Ruth was great. Considering Red now owes her a favour hopefully we'll see her again soon.

Why did the Watchers capture Ressler instead of killing him? They killed the sheriff and we know they hate the FBI. That doesn't make much sense to me.

"I've never even seen you drive." - Liz. Hee. That's the second reference to Red not driving which makes me wonder if it's leading somewhere.

Kenyon's death was creepy gross and looked like something Hannibal would do. Don't feel at all sorry for him.

So unknown voice on the phone: Liz's bio dad?
