Agents of Shield 2x12 & 2x13 Thoughts

iaria2x12 'Who You Really Are'
• Skye/May were wonderful. I loved their training session at the beginning, how attuned May was to Skye all episode, how May immediately moved to protect Skye and then her trying to talk Skye into getting control of her emotions.
• I loved Skye shooting herself with the icer when she couldn't control herself. I was half expecting it to be one of Jemma's new ones and for something to go wrong.
• I really love Fitz having Skye's back. His defence of her during the ending argument and his refusal to back down was great to see. That said his points weren't really that great. Jemma leaving after he changed is nothing like the current Skye situation, more relevant is her current attitude towards super-powered people.
• "We have learned that there are some things that can never be understood." - Sif
"Is this little talk one of them?" - Coulson
• It was great to see Sif again and I thought this was a better episode than her last one. Her interactions with May were great and her confrontation with the old man on the beach was really amusing.
• The Bobbi/Vin-Tak fight was great.
• I thought Vin-Tak was great and I love that we got to see another side to a Kree.
• I didn't like Coulson pushing Mack into becoming a field agent and completely ignoring Mack's reticence about it and stated dislike of violence. Okay, his new SHIELD is clearly having staffing issues but he should have said straight out 'we need you' and then left it at that (letting Mack decided if he could or not). His attitude in that scene rubbed me wrong.
• Why were Jemma and Fitz doing the video analysis? Shouldn't that have been Skye's job? Is she no longer the computer person?
• I thought Bobbi and Mack could be working for Fury but now I'm thinking that they're probably working for the US government, say Talbot. Perhaps post-Winter Soldier they joined the CIA/FBI/whatever like other SHIELD agents and then were sent in undercover to keep an eye on the new SHIELD.
2x13 'One of Us'
• Oh, Skye. I just want to give her all the hugs. I need someone to hug her immediately. Preferably Jemma or Coulson but I'd take anyone. Also someone to teach her how to use her powers. At least she got a little entertainment/fun - I loved her glee in interrogating Andrew about his relationship with May.
• I loved Jemma/Skye's scenes. I've been really worried about their relationship so Jemma's sincere concern for Skye was lovely to see.
• Fitz/Jemma forgetting for a moment about their issues and gossiping about May and her ex was so great. It made me really miss their season one relationship.
• I liked Andrew a lot and hope he shows up again. I loved his scenes with May, especially the kitchen scene with the teasing and May laughing.
• I find Cal's brand of crazy amusing. He's very entertaining to watch.
• During the final scene I really was expecting Jiaying to show up.
• So Bobbi and Mack's "real SHIELD", hmm. Was it set up by Fury? The World Security Council? Another higher up from the old SHIELD? It makes sense to me with all the chaos post-TWS that others might consider re-creating SHIELD but how hasn't Coulson's SHIELD caught a hint of its existence? Also if they are the new official SHIELD and on the up and up why the hell haven't they contacted Coulson instead of spying? In the beginning, okay, but they have to know that Coulson and his team aren't Hydra/bad guys so it's suspicious of them to keep secret. I don't trust it. Are they even a SHIELD or is it a cover for a darker group?
• Eyeless guy's power continues to be really cool.
• Karla's 'ability' and the way it was contained was ridiculous. Razor blades grafted on her fingertips, really? Couldn't they just file down the blades and then put plastic tips over them instead of those silly metal glove-things? Or even remove them entirely with surgery? Also if she went on a killing spree why was she living free instead of in jail?
