iariaTBBT 8x20 'The Fortification Implementation'
+ I loved the Penny/Leonard plot this episode. I thought it was hilarious. The idea of Penny being on Wil’s podcast was great and I love that Serial Apeist has become a cult hit. Wil Wheaton was wonderful. I loved his interactions with Penny and Kevin Smith. His absolute glee over the Penny/Leonard fight was delightful and it made Round #3764 between Penny/Leonard a lot more fun than it might otherwise have been. Leonard’s reaction to learning that Penny makes twice as much as him was funny and I really like that Penny has been investing her money. I loved Penny tricking Leonard, or ‘playing him like a violin’, into supporting her auditioning for Clerks 3.
+ Sheldon/Amy were pretty sweet. I loved their fort and bonding. Amy keeping a sleep-over kit in the chair was great and I loved Sheldon’s reaction (alarmed but admiring of her preparedness.) Leonard joining them at the end was nice.
+ The Howard plot was mostly boring.
Agents of Shield 2x16 'Afterlife'
I really liked it. Once again there were several 'YES' moments.
1) Jemma the Spy, Part 2! Awesome. I loved how that all played out. Jemma is getting so good at this (once again she played Bobbi perfectly.) Her using looking at the Tool Box to pass a message to Fitz that only he could read, FitzSimmons playing up their real issues in order to get Fitz out and then Fitz smuggling the Tool Box out with him - all awesome. Now Jemma is on the inside, semi-trusted, and Fitz is heading to Coulson with the Tool Box. Plus she made him his favourite sandwhich, aww.
2) Jiaying is alive. YES! So, so happy about that. I'm a little surprised with myself for not seeing that. I actually like that she didn't tell Skye who she was right off the bat and seems to want to create a relationship with her first. I can't wait to see Skye's reaction. I like that Jiaying is going to be Skye's Guide. Definitely surprised that Cal knew she was alive.
3) Deathlok!! Yay! Can we keep him now? I especially love the reveal that Mike has been working for SHIELD, well Coulson, this entire time. That makes me really happy. And Coulson gave him some great upgrades. And now he's going to help find Skye and hopefully we'll get a nice Skye/Mike reunion with bonding over being turned super-powered against their will.
4) Trip and Fitz built Coulson a 21st century Howling Ccmmando's kit! That's the case May gave him. I love it. It's both aww-inducing and sad. I wish we'd seen that scene.
5) The Coulson/Hunter team-up was surprisingly fun. They were great together. I liked Hunter which is big considering I usually only consider him okay/background. I thought he was funny and I'm pleased about his loyalty. "Did she just get abducted by aliens?", lol. That's an AU I want to see. Also calling Gonzales "the love boat captain", heh. And just his reactions to everything happening around him = fun. He played off straight man Coulson well (their opening scene at the car lot was great.)

"You do know there's more to it than that, right? Like getting us back on the ground for example." - Lance
6) I really don't trust Gonzales. Coulson was effusive with his praise and everyone seems to think he's great but I'm not seeing it. Even beyond the shadowiness of his SHIELD (May had a point about them doing nothing about Hydra and Bobbi knew it), and beyond his massive phobia/hate on of powered people ("put down", seriously? Plus his paranoia about Coulson getting 'another one' on his team. It was all gross) we get things like this line: "And since... I must accept the recommendation of others when I'm outvoted." The way he said it, even the words themselves, speaks of someone who is not actually that pleased about the current status quo. I really don't think he likes a democratic SHIELD and despite his words to Coulson in the last episode I do think he wants to rule.
7) I liked Lincoln. He seemed sweet. I hope he actually is.
