The 100 2x13 Review

It's been so long since I last watched this show I think I'd forgotten how amazing these characters are. This was a great episode.
• I really loved how the show approached Clarke dealing with the choice she made and the consequences of it. ie. not well but moving forward. It's clearly had a profound effect on her and shaken her to her core. This is something she's going to have to live with for a long time. She's learned that killing doesn't alleviate it so all there is to do is move forward.
"Clarke please. Your people need you." - Lincoln
"You are my people." - Clarke
♥ So much love for Clarke claiming Lincoln as one of her own. Then she freaking shoots him through the shoulder to take out the sniper. Awesome!
• The Abby/Kane scene was excellent.
"How could she do something like this?" - Abby
"(pause) Because she grew up in the Ark. She learned what to do from us." - Kane.
I loved Kane understanding Clarke's actions. I loved him gently pointing out to Abby that they had done things just as bad and it helping Abby to move towards forgiving Clarke.
• Octavia proving herself was great. I loved her scenes with Indra. I loved her trick with the alcohol and fire, how she kept a cool head throughout the entire situation and that she never once gave up. I loved her winning over the other two Seconds.
• I hadn't really thought about how isolated from the rest of the story the 100 in the mountain were until:
Clarke's coming with an army of Grounders."
"Don't tell me Finn finally got his peace talks."
... awkward. There is so much they don't know! I hope we get to see them learn the truth about Finn at least. Also I just love the sentence "Clarke's coming with an army".
• Monty was awesome as always.
• I was sure that someone would die but I'm so glad to be wrong and that no one of importance did. This time.
• So many hugs this ep - it was great! The Octavia/Lincoln reunion was my favourite followed by Indra/Lincoln and Miller/Jasper.
• I love Octavia taking the moment to go over and reassure Abby about Clarke
• Maya was great. I loved this line: "My mom was the revelutionary. I'm just trying to do what's right." I loved that she not only didn't ask for the 100 to surrender to save herself she told Jasper straight out that she wouldn't let him.
• Jasper killing the wounded soldier with an axe to the head (as he crawled away) managed to surprise me a little even after everything else that's happened. That wasn't about survival, that was revenge for Fox. I wonder how far he's going to go? I really liked that moment just before when he was first victorious about the retreat and then was hit with the blow of Fox being taken. "I promised her." and he did really well thrust into a leadership position in the mountain. He brought them together, got them to fight back successfully to save themselves but this was his moment of realising the true hardships of being a leader. I wonder if he's going to want to continue as a leader after the war or if he's going to happily retreat back into a supporting role.
• I love the reveal that not all the Mountain Men are supportive of the blood-draining practices. That there are people who've actively worked against it and people who are siding with the 100.
