4x14 'Kindred'
• I enjoyed everything to do with Emily/Louise and Emily/Louise/Nolan. I like that Emily was still skeptical and cautious of Louise at the beginning (of course she was) but that she still held the wedding reception at her house because Nolan is her best friend, and she still helped Louise to recover her memories of that night. I loved the Emily/Louise scene at the psychiatric facility. It was really lovely and it looks like Emily might be getting a female friend again which makes me so happy. I also super loved that once again we get to Emily being there for Nolan, being the best friend that has his back and works to help him. Exactly what I wanted to see more of.
Louise: How can Nolan have such faith in me when I have no faith in myself?
Emily: Because that's who Nolan is.
♥ It so is. Nolan's loyalty, his kindness, the fact that he went above and beyond to get the original report just so Louise could have the peace of mind. Nolan is the best.
• I love David's expressions, the smile he gets, when he looks at Emily. They were lovely this episode and I really wish we'd see more of this (and his focus on her in the last episode) earlier this season. Their dance was lovely. Though while they were dancing around all I could think was that everyone else there was probably gossiping about whether the two of them were a couple.
• The Jack/Margaux scene was nice. I actually liked the Emily/Ben scene at the bar when usually I find them so boring. That said Emily going to his house at the end made me roll my eyes.
4x15 'Bait'
• I enjoyed watching a classic takedown episode. I liked both Jack and Louise getting involved. Jack did really well in his scene with Margaux in particular. I have a feeling that Emily's over-confidence is going to end up getting her in trouble though I really enjoyed her smackdown of Margaux. Margaux's vendetta against Emily is still leaving me mostly meh. It's just so misaimed that I really just want Emily to keep smacking her down.
• "Emily and I... how do I explain this? We're sort of like superheroes." - Nolan. Hee. I guess that's one way to look at it.
• I loved Nolan's "How does merciful malice suit you?" to Louise and her gleefully jumping in to help with both feet. I'm continuing to enjoy them a lot. They're sweet together. Since Emily/Nolan is never going to happen in canon I hope this lasts so Nolan will get a happy ending. I think Louise is actually a really good match for him.
• Gina Torres is always great and I'm enjoying her rivalry with Victoria a suprising amount. I'm also liking the maybe friendship/romance between Natalie/David. A part of me is actually hoping that she is on the up and up (but I'm doubtful).
• Okay, why did Emily reject Jack? She's always loved him, she's mourned and moved on from Aiden and Ben is just a bit of fun. Is it because she's scared? She has actual feelings for him and the last time she let that happen the person she loved died so while she's able to flirt/date she's unwilling to open herself up that much? That's the only thing that makes sense to me. I'm pretty sure regardless that they're end game.
