Blood Must Have Blood, Part 2

Very enjoyable. I can't believe that I'm going to have to wait till next year for more of this show.

"Together." ♥ I'm so happy with how that all played out. I love that it was Clarke, Bellamy and Monty all being involved. Monty didn't pull the lever but he made it possible for the other two to do it. He was very much involved. I adore so much Bellamy putting his hand over Clarke's and the two of them pulling it together. Because they're co-leaders and partners, and it's not just Clarke's burden to bear alone. I love it.

+ I love the Clarke/Monty hug at the end. It works so much for me that Clarke said goodbye to him before leaving. That the only two she did were the two who had been with her in that room.

• Clarke/Bellamy - ♥. Their final scene was amazing. I loved Clarke telling Bellamy to "take care of them for me" because of course she feels responsible for them all and she'd leave Bellamy in charge while gone. I loved Bellamy trying so hard to both help Clarke and convince her to stay. I liked his line about "not having to do it alone" because despite how she may feel Clarke didn't kill the Mountain Men alone. But my favourite was this line:

"If you need forgiveness I'll give that to you. You're forgiven." Beautiful. And calling back to Clarke saying something very similar to Bellamy. They forgive each other's sins, are there for each other, are partners... it's wonderful.

• I loved Clarke leaving at the end. I loved her finally being selfish, saying enough was enough and that she needed a break. If anyone deserves some alone time it's Clarke. I'm also excited to see what she gets up to all alone on Earth.

"Listen to me very carefully. I will not stop until my people are free. If you don't let them go I will irradiate level five." - Clarke. And Clarke once again coming up with a plan and making the hard choices. This was such an amazing moment. It's too bad for the Mountain Men that she didn't come up with this plan of attack before killing Dante. Dante would have known she meant every word. Dante wouldn't have under-estimated her resolve. It seems Cage didn't learn that lesson.

Poor Clarke. She keeps trying to make the 'right' choices, the good ones. But she keeps being forced into these horrible situations. 350+ people including innocent children and people who tried to help hers vs the lives of 40-50 of her people including her mother - what would you do? Knowing that Cage will never stop, that the rest of the Sky People who survived the fall to Earth back at Camp Jaha will also inevitably be attacked and used to save the Mountain Men. What's the 'right' choice here? Cage and even Dante refused to let her people go, refused to back down. It was her people vs the ones who wanted to kill them.

All I can think of that Clarke could have theoretically done was to get on the intercom and appeal to the average citizens of Mount Weather, or more likely threaten them. Give them the chance to make the deal - free her people or be irradiated. Give them a countdown. I can't see any other option here.

• Hahaha, the answer is SkyNet. I love it. So a guy created an AI, that then gained some level of sentience, decided humanity sucked, got launch codes and nuked the planet but unfortunately for her humans are like cockroaches and it didn't work. Only now Jaha has brought her the means to try again. Which means the overarching storyline next season, presumably, will be our heroes having to stop a computer from nuking the world again. LOL. Oh please, let Murphy be the one to carry this message back to Camp Jaha.

• So many lovely little moments between various characters that I loved:

+ Octavia's reunion hug with Bellamy. And his exchange of looks with Clarke.
+ The Octavia/Monty and then Octavia/Jasper hugs. Adorable.
+ Jasper running to Clarke and hugging her, and then Monty running up behind him for a group hug.
+ Clarke's mouthed 'thank you' to Maya while she hugged Jasper and Monty.
+ Kane holding Abby's hand as they return to Camp Jaha.
+ Miller and his dad's reunion hug.
+ Clarke and Abby's reunion. The hug, the tears, Abby clearly having gotten completely over her anger and disappointment about TonDC. I really loved this exchange:

" I tried. I tried to be the good guy." - Clarke
"Maybe there are no good guys." - Abby

• Octavia was pretty great. I loved her doing her best impression of Indra/patient Grounder warrior. I loved her giving Jasper warrior advice on how best to murder Cage with a knife. The best. Maybe next season she can mentor him. I loved her just destroying the guards.

• Jaha has completely lost his everloving mind. WTF! I never thought he would go that far. I thought he was too caught up with being a saviour in his own mind. "So we could live. And because you could row." Wooooowwwwwwww. If I were Murphy I would never turn my back on him. I was so glad when Murphy decided he was done with Jaha.

• I'm a little surprised that no one major died. Maya was the biggest death. I really liked her so it's sad but at the same time she wasn't one of my top characters so I'm mostly just really relieved. Still, it's too bad. I loved her last line: "None of us is innocent." [Though probably all those kids that died were.]

• I liked the Clarke/Octavia confrontation. I liked that Octavia is still pissed at her. I loved how discombobulated Octavia was by Clarke being so out of control and on the verge of losing it. Clarke is the plan person, the one who takes charge, who everyone listens to and trusts and here she is helpless and simply reacting. We also got a little bit of a look at possibly some resentment shimmer under the Octavia's surface: "Bellamy is counting on you. Everyone is always counting on you." Hmm. Clarke is the one people turn to, including Bellamy, and I think that bugs her. Was her reaction to Clarke more about that, or her anger and feelings of betrayal about TonDC (both personal betrayal and a betrayal of her view of Clarke), or was it a little more of the tough love Indra showed her?

"I'm doing the best I can!" - Clarke
"Well it's not good enough." - Octavia

That came off more like tough love to me than anything. It also reminded me of that similar scene between Clarke/Raven a couple episodes back. Octavia blaming her for trusting Lexa and Lexa's betrayal of them, on the other hand, was completely unfair.

+ I also liked that Clarke seriously had no plan when she entered the tunnels.

• Lincoln managing to overcome the tone generator to take down Cage, then overcoming his addiction and taking Cage out was really satisfying to watch.

"Octavia made her choice now you make yours." - Indra. I love her. I love that she gave Lincoln the choice. I love that she managed to try and help Octavia while still making it seem like it wasn't about her at all.

• Raven didn't have much to do but what we got was great. First, she survived! Thank god. Second, her biting off the guy's ear - awesome! Third, I loved her taking the time to give Jasper back his goggles.

• Between Maya dying in his arms and Fox, who he promised to get out of there, being one of the few killed I feel like Jasper's really not going to start next season in a good place. Plus he's blaming Monty [and Clarke/Bellamy] so I'm wondering if Jasper's going to have his own little break next season.

• Who'd have thought that by the end of the season I would be so happy for Murphy to find that surprisingly unaged well-appointed bunker and wish for him to just stay there, safe and happy.

• The Mountain Men leaving the Sky People in the same room to watch as they killed them one by one was cruel.

• I wonder how the death of all the Mountain Men is going to affect the Grounder's and Lexa now that Clarke has made her treaty null and void? I bet Lexa's going to be really proud.

• What happened to all the Mountain Men who were given the treatment? Shouldn't there have been more of them still alive? So far it looks like the only one who survived the episode was Emerson but I find it hard to believe he was the only one.

• What are the Sky People going to do with the mountain now? I mean, sure there are 350~ bodies in there but there's also medicine, food, clothing, supplies, the potential for a well fortified home with electricity, plumbing, easy access clean water and places to grow food, etc. Creepy, yes, but considering the dangers of Earth probably something that deserves some debate. I hope this is dealt with next season.

• It's like Clarke and Bellamy are in competition for who can kill the most people. I'm not even sure who is winning. Bellamy gets an assist credit for the 300 Arker's who sacrificed themselves. Clarke has TonDC which was 250/300 people? Then they killed off the 300+ Mountain Men together. ...Oh! And then there was the season 1 finale - Clarke totally gets an assist on those 300 Grounders burned. So - Clarke's winning I guess.
