Person of Interest 3x14 & 3x15 Thoughts

A nice little 'Number of the week' type episode.
• I love that Finch's solution to getting them all into the gala was to get Shaw and himself onto the VP list and then to take Reese as his plus one. Because it would be so hard to get a third VP invitation I'm sure.
• I loved the exchange between Finch and the lady at the gala over how gorgeous Reese was (and implied how lucky Finch was). Finch's expression with the raised eyebrows and then that little smile was excellent.
• "I moved it to the history section a week ago. Update your arsenal John." - Shaw. I loved this little moment. It seems Shaw is at least a little irritated with Reese for abandoning the misson and I like that she showed it in a small but pointed way and then let it go.
• I liked that Reese was having a couple stumbles this episode in getting back in the groove of things - from Shaw moving his back-up, to Fusco interrupting his planning session with all the building plans to being unable to tie his bowtie. They were all very small things but they showed that things aren't just immeadiately going to be as they were before.
• I loved the whole dressing scene - Finch helping Reese into his coat! The general adorableness of Reese being unable to get his bowtie tied and Finch's comments on it. Finch's pleasure at the qaulity of Reese's suit. Shaw and her "mildly erotic moment" comment. The only thing missing was Finch tying the bowtie for Reese - the scene was clearly leading up to it! I'm very disappointed in the show.
• "Oh, he's always right." - Shaw re: Finch. I love how much she believes in him.
• The entire team sitting around a table sharing a drink and just hanging out at the end was great. I especially loved that Fusco was there, fully a member of the team. For so long he's always been just off to the side, an ally, a resource, but not fully one of them. This is definitely a step in the right direction.
• I liked the toast to Carter. It's always really annoying when shows never mentioned dead characters or ones that have left again. That said I kind of want this to be the last mention like this for awhile. Or at least from Reese. When he poured the glass my first reaction was actually 'sigh, stop being such a buzzkill'. It ended up being very nice though.
3x15 'Last Call'
• "Please be careful. The man we're looking for is highly intelligent, resourceful, and no doubt dangerous when cornered." - Finch.
"So basically Finch he's you. If you were evil." - Shaw.
• I love that neither Reese or Shaw showed up at the last moment to save Finch and Sandra. Instead Finch figured out a way to save them himself and executed it perfectly. No last minute rescues needed. It made me really happy.
• "Hey, there is no dead in team." - Shaw. I love Shaw having Reese's back. Also I find her having to be the cautious sensible one amusing. I also liked their interactions at the bar.
• It was nice to see Fusco get some recognition for being a good cop.
• I like the idea of Finch getting a new nemesis and this one seems pretty sinister. I wanted to shake Finch for not telling the others the truth about the call. Why did he lie? There was no reason to. At least neither Reese nor Shaw looked convinced by Finch trying to brush it off.
