• "Well I tried to quit but some jackass told me I needed a purpose." - Reese. I loved his smile at Finch.
• "She's worried about him. So am I." - Root. ♥ I love when the Machine shows her love for Finch. Root too actually. Plus the Machine's message of hope to him at the end via Root. Are we ever going to have them communicating with each other without Root as an intermediary? I think that's my fondest hope for this series - just give me Finch and his AI child finally having a relationship. Actually, I'd love for the Machine to have a more physical presence on the show all around.
• Shaw/Root were great. Shaw being worried about Root and choosing to help her was wonderful. I loved Root's flirting and Shaw's reactions to it. Also loved Shaw's "Oh it's going to be that kind of party, huh." with a smile when Root pulled out a knife.
• So happy to see Bear again. I loved him bring Reese a gun during the shoot out. And him going with Finch at the end made me aww. I like to think Reese insisted so that Finch would have some protection while they were separated.
• Aww poor Hersh. I am honestly sad to see him go. He was a lot of fun in the last couple episodes and his interactions with Shaw and Reese were great. This season made me really intrigued about the Hersh/Shaw relationship. He did really well this episode between getting Shaw a bike (hee) and trying to defuse the bomb while kicking ass. I'm going to miss him.
• This episode (+ the previous one) has given me a new appreciation for Control.
• I have to give Greer props for his long term planning. I loved the reveal that he created Vigilance. On the other hand, Greer you doofus that is not how you parent! Kids need boundaries! Poor Samaritan.
• I felt bad for Collier when he learned the truth. It's too bad that he was killed because I feel like he could have been a potentially good ally.
