Hannibal 3x05 Thoughts

It was okay.
• I loved this exchange between Will and Chiyoh:
Will: Hollowed out and filled with something else.
Chiyoh: Not something else. I'm not as malleable as you are. I was violent when it was the right thing to do. But I think you like it.
Will: Hannibal and I afforded each other an experience we may not have otherwise have had.
Will describing how he feels post-Hannibal, Chiyoh shooting down his attempt to conflate the two of them, her little "not as malleable" burn (ouch!), her confidence in her own morality, her pointing out a truth to Will (much like Hannibal might have) and Will once again speaking of Hannibal and their relationship in an almost... fondness, and acceptance -- perfect.
• "There are means of influence other than violence." - Chiyoh. And then the second time she follows that by kissing Will. Um. Are we supposed to take that as Chiyoh telling Will he should have taken his 'seducing' of Hannibal more literally? Because that's how it came off to me. I can't even tell with this show anymore.
• I loved the shot, after Hannibal pushed Pazzi out the window, of him looking down at Jack and Jack looking back at him and everything is just still for a moment. The entire lead up to the actual fight was so suspenseful and well done.
• Jack's beatdown of Hannibal, and lets be honest that was far more of a beatdown than a fight, was great. Hannibal's over-confidence, his smugness with Alana on the phone just prior and his taunting Jack about Bella made it even more satisfying. But why would Jack let him get away?
• Still very much enjoying Bedelia and Hannibal together. Hannibal playing with Bedelia's hair and resting his hand against her throat was kind of hot but at the same time I'm still left thinking "what are you doing, Bedelia? Run away!" I really do think she gets off on the danger but she is far too confident in her ability to escape this situation alive.
• I don't really understand Chiyoh. What is she after with Hannibal? Why did she push Will off the train?
• The train scene was so dark I could barely see anything that was happening which was annoying.
• They dropped the ball with Pazzi in not giving him enough reasoning to make a deal with Verger for money over turning Hannibal in to the police to have his honour/reputation restored considering that up until this episode that is all he has been talking about.
