I mostly really enjoyed. Hannibal and Will were amazing and I loved everything about them.

• My favourite scene was the gallery meeting. They were so happy to see each other! When he sat down Will had a little smile on his face and when he faced forward Hannibal smiled a little smile in return. This was the first time since Mizumono that they have seen each other and the overwhelming emotion I was getting was affection and a kind of relief. It is in fact the happiest we've seen Will this season! (Poor sad Will.) He knows that he shouldn't care for Hannibal but in that moment, in seeing Hannibal again for the first time since Hannibal gutted him, he did. His first reaction was pleasure and happiness and for a couple minutes he let himself feel it. [He is so messed up, they are, omg I love them.]

"If I saw you everyday forever I would remember this time." - Hannibal. ♥ And the giant grin Will gets! The little laugh! omg.

"You and I have begun to blur." and "We're conjoined." Makes me think about Cordell's talk of phantom limbs earlier in the episode. At this point Will and Hannibal have become so close (mentally) that it's as if they are a part of each other and their separation was that of a phantom limb - a piece of them missing that they each still felt, neither entirely happy about it but neither rejecting it wholesale either.

• Then there was the scene post shooting with Hannibal taking care of Will - also really great. Hannibal giving Will back his knife and telling him >"You dropped your forgiveness Will". The hug! The fact that Hannibal knocked Will out, cared for his wound, cleaned him, redressed him in a clean shirt, fed him soup all as a prelude to eating him. Hannibal: "i would have liked to show you Florence, Will"

• I loved Hannibal holding, a shot/in pain, Will pretty much exactly like he did after gutting him in 2x13. Hannibal's expression! Considering what Hannibal does next it ends up feeling very much like a goodbye. Again. He just wanted one last moment to hold Will in his arms! Oh, Hannibal. And once again I feel like he's being kind of hasty here with the killing option. Sure, Will was going to stab/kill him but it's not like they have a normal relationship. It's basically foreplay!

• You know if Hannibal wouldn't kill and eat Bedelia because he would want to savour her I find it hard to believe that he would rush eating Will. I can fanwank it but it still felt rushed on Hannibal's part. I mean Bedelia has spent weeks/months leading Hannibal to the idea that he needs to kill and eat Will in order to exorcise the hold Will has over him. At the same time he seems certain that capture is imminent and thus perhaps he doesn't want to live with these emotions Will inspires in him for however long he'll be held for. He feels a need for there to be a resolution. IDK. I do know that if he'd succeeded he probably would have had some immediate satisfaction but in the long run it would have been something he deeply regretted and like Mischa's death probably something that would have changed and haunted him.

• Will and Jack have the best conversations about Hannibal. This episode: Upon Jack asking if Will will slip away with Hannibal, Will replied "A part of me will always want to."

Other"

"You may make a meal of me yet, Hannibal. But not today." - Bedelia. Yes! That was awesome. I loved the goodbye kiss. I was so worried for her but it looks like she is actually going to get away with it. Both in the surviving Hannibal and in escaping prosecution. Her plan to plead "brainwashed prisoner" is actually a good one. I also loved that she actually got Hannibal to agree to back her story "because she asked him to". She is good! I loved the entire scene between them (and her washing/fixing him up before it.)

• I don't know what this show has against lights. The beautiful scene where Hannibal cares for a shot Will was great but so freaking dark! I was watching and found myself thinking 'damnit, turn on the lamp right beside you!'

• I'm so there for Alana/Margot but I wish we'd gotten a little more set-up. Their first meeting was great but that was all we got. There needed to be some build up. I think even having Margot in a couple of the Alana/Mason scenes, shots of them exchanging looks, maybe a surreptitious touch would have done a lot. Was kaleidoscope sex their first time? Have they been together since that first meeting? All that said I love the idea that they have been together and conspiring against Mason for awhile now. I also like how this changes where Alana herself is coming from.

• Still not entirely understanding Chiyoh here. I did like her scene with Bedelia and Chiyoh telling her that she wants to 'cage Hannibal' makes sense if she's trying to pay him back for the years she spent trapped at Lector Manor. But I'm not sure that is her motive? She also shoots Will to protect Hannibal (Hannibal says "she's always been very protective of me"). What was her plan when she went up there and set up her gun? I have no idea.

• I found this episode a little too, uh, artsy. The Alana/Margot kaleidoscope sex scene was more WTF than anything else and the cut between Florence/Muskrat farms was far too abrupt (what a weird cut!) The Hannibal/Will discussion after Hannibal knocked Will out post-shooting wasn't as bad but still a bit too much. All together I don't think it really worked and detracted from the episode.

• I liked the Jack/Bedelia/Will scene. I loved how fucking done Will was with Bedelia {give me a fucking break}, how impressed and even amused Jack was and how Bedelia stuck to her story and held her own even while drugged out of her mind.
