Hannibal 3x09 Thoughts

• Hannibal/Will were delightful as always. I loved Hannibal telling Will that he's family. I loved the way they danced around each other (though Hannibal definitely had the upper hand here, sorry Will). I loved that when Will stated that he wanted to keep things "less personal" Hannibal looked hurt and then immediately made it as personal as he could.
I found Hannibal's bitter jealousy about Will creating a new family hilarious and kind of delightful. He's just so obvious and kind of petulant. I really feel like Will should be planning a vacation for Molly and Walt very, very far away.
"Is there a child in your life, Will? I gave you a child if you recall." - Hannibal. LOL. And the fact that he killed her in front of Will is clearly immaterial to the discussion.
• Freddie called them murder husbands, omg. That is the best thing ever, I'm laughing my ass off. I love her. Also see "big black box", hee.
• There were some really great visuals this episode particularly those in Hannibal's cell that dealt with reflections and fading to black.
• I really enjoyed the Hannibal/Abigail scenes. I thought they only emphasised how perfectly murder family could have worked if only Hannibal hadn't had his little temper tantrum. Damn it, Hannibal! We could have had it all! I thought they were actually kind of adorable during the kitchen scene especially the little section that included: Abigail's smile when she affirmed that she was ready to die, her cute "Can I push the button?", Hannibal's smile at that and then him helping her off the counter with a little hop. It was sweet. Of course then there was Abigail's dead father's body which was less so. But! Then we have Abigail helping Hannibal cook that night which I loved. Except then he refused to run because they had to wait for Will [just. go. pick. him. up!] and "Hunting with your father was the best time you ever had. Now you're going to hunt with me." aaghhh!
• This Hannibal/Alana exchange was hilarious:
"You've come to wag your finger." - Hannibal
"I love a good finger wagging." - Alana
"Yes, you do. How's Margot?" - Hannibal
LOL. Buy then it was followed by a supremely creepy moment:
"Your cogs are turning Hannibal. I can hear them clicking." - Alana
(quietly) “*click* *click* boom." - Hannibal
I'm not sure why but I found that was so creepy. Also Hannibal's looking a lot learner and hungrier which was probably a part of it.
• I'm worried about Alana. They are lying the foreshadowing of her eventual death by Hannibal on really thick. This episode we get her threatening Hannibal very effectively bypromising to take about the one thing he cares about [his dignity] and he was not happy about it. Then we get her informing Will that she took her job essentially to make sure that Hannibal stayed captured. That she 'held the keys to all five doors standing between Hannibal and freedom', basically putting herself between the two. (Nooo Alana, that is such a bad idea!)
• I liked the Will/Molly phone call. They're sweet and it's nice to see Will so uncomplicatedly happy. I really love that they individually each adopted a new dog for their family. I love that Will took in the murdered family's dog.
• I like Reba. She seems really nice. But she also has the same sense as Will. Like there were multiple times during her interactions with Dolarhyde where it was like 'back away!'
• "Will has never been more effective then he is with you inside his head." - Jack
