The Blacklist 3x07 Thoughts

It was okay.
+ It was really strange how little Red and Liz there was inthis episode. Especially Liz. They were barely in it and I don't like it.
- I loved Red to the rescue at the end. But I really wish that Liz had been by Red's side during the rescue of Samar/take down of Hasaad, exactly as she has been for the last couple episodes. Instead of morosely sitting in a diner thinking about the future she lost/wants. It was annoying.
I also think it would have worked better when Samar asked why she should hand her brother over and Red said "to clear Liz's name" to have Liz standing right there, a part of her rescue. We could have gotten a little moment between them, even if nothing was said, with the choice coming from between them.
That said Samar's actress knocked it out of the park and she was especially good in this scene with her having to decide her brother's fate.
+ I like that Red, as always, gave Liz advice but left the choice up to her and respected the one she made. Though there is no way I believe that he let her go off without sending one of his men to have her back. A little surprised that we didn't see Dembe watching over her.
- Also Red's expression when she told him amused me. Red is so, so, so over Tom.
+ Tom's casual unconcern in the face of Harold's anger/irritableness and Charlene's freaking out was hilarious. From the very beginning with Tom showing up at Harold's front door, still messed up and with Karakurt in his trunk, telling Harold that he'd like some coffee too it was fun. "Hey, you got any power tools?" LOL!
+ Ressler kicking Harold's garden gnome was so petulant temper-tantrumy ridiculous that it was funny. Oh, Ressler. I'm giggling just thinking about it.
+ The Samar/Ressler scene was nice and I liked them commiserating about their losses. But what that lead to... I don't know about that twist. Mostly I'm going 'poor Aram!'
+ I loved how gleeful Aram was over hacking the Director's tech guys' computers.
+ Samar had Red's number so... she is still working for him. ... right? How else would she have his number?
+ Oded Fehr! I'm always glad to see him on a show I watch. Glad his character survived and hopefully he shows up again.
+ Why the hell were the engineering hostages even at the Mossad safe house? That's who was shot in the courtyard right? They should have been taken to the hospital and their statements taken there. Also why were the unknown 'captives' left just sitting around?
+ The Tom/Ressler fight appeared a lot more even than I would have expected. Ressler's a great agent but I thought Tom was supposed to be this dangerous super-spy.
