3x06 'Among Us Hide...'
+ Daisy and Mack’s reactions to Hunter were excellent. Especially when Hunter left the van and shot Banks - that was hilarious. Probably my favourite moment. But I also liked their "uhhhhh" reaction to him asking to go on their OP and them gently giving him crap for endangering Andrew.
+ Hunter is back to early season 2 annoyingness. His reactions this ep to the Andrew situation, his loose-cannonness, his 'advice' to Fitz about Will - shut up, Hunter.
+ "He doesn’t think it’s ready yet but that’s stupid because it’s awesome. So I stole it." – Skye. LOL.
+ It was nice, if a little surprising, to hear Mack defend Coulson.
+ I admit they completely surprised me with the whole Andrew is Lash thing. I don't know why I didn't consider him at all. Of the various fates that I considered for Andrew after his last episode this could potentially be the most interesting. It depends I guess on the reasoning for what Andrew is doing, because it makes no sense to me, and where this storyline goes. Hopefully not to May having to kill him.
+ Aw, Coulson being all hard on Roz because Skye called him on liking her. Own your feelings Phil!
+ There was a teeny tiny Skye/Jemma scene! I miss them.
+ The Bobbi/May teamup was nice.
3x07 'Chaos Theory'
+ We got a little May/Skye! I loved how happy Daisy was to see May and the hug was lovely. I just wish the reunion could have happened when May wasn't so distracted. I also really loved that May asked Daisy's opinion on what to do with Andrew. I was hoping at the end there Daisy would show up in the cockpit to offer May some silent comfort.
+ The May/Andrew scenes were really painful. Poor May. Particularily when May confronted Lash - you could hear the pain in her voice as she opened up to him, and then he transformed back and she shot him. I haven't been interested in them as a couple but I'm a bit invested now. He changed back for her! Her love for him and her pain got through his Inhuman instincts and brought him back to her. She doesn't think she deserves happiness but she really does. They deserve happiness together. I really want this to have a happy ending (but I'm sure it's won't.)
+ So the 'kill all Inhumans' thing Lash has going is instinct... which works for me, I guess. I can't think of a better reason. But then he apparently dealt with that by rationalising to himself that he needed to get rid of 'bad' Inhumans in order to protect everyone. Only a lot of the people we know he's killed weren't obviously 'bad'. Is his certainty that he's doing the right thing because of his Lash instincts or is it something he actually believes?
+ "Because without Phil Coulson SHIELD won't grow back." - Ward. Um, okay. That is so clearly untrue. He's got some serious blinders on, plus it makes his whole remaking of Hydra feel a little flat. He has no grand plans or an actual goal for his new organisation. He simply wants revenge and is going to slightly extreme lengths to get it.
+ Damn, it's gone all wrong. I've really been enjoying Rosalind/Coulson so her turning out to be working against him, and for a Hydra headhoncho at that, is the worst. I'm hoping at the very least she's not actually Hydra. Not that that's going to make Coulson feel any better. Sigh.
+ FitzSimmons were sweet and I enjoyed them but I still don't want them to end up together.
+ Lincoln is an idiot. SHIELD already has one in Hunter they don't really need another.
3x08 'Many Heads, One Tale'
+ I liked Rosalind and Rosalind/Coulson so I'm really glad that she isn't working for Hydra/a bad guy.
+ Coulson, you are being creepy. So he doesn't trust Rosalind even though he really likes her as a person. He runs this whole op in order to work out the truth about her -- okay, fine, normal spy stuff. But to sleep with her and take their flirting into an actual relationship-type place before asserting trust? When he thinks there's a possibilty that she might be Hydra? WTH, Coulson? How does he imagine this would turn out? If she's on the up-and-up then she's going to be rightly pissed off and he's crippled their new relationship from the get go. I kind
+ May apologising to Lincoln was a nice scene though she really doesn't owe him one.
+ I enjoyed watching Ward taking out Malick's men. For a second there after Malick told Ward the truth about Hydra I thought that might be enough to push Ward away from Hydra and back into anti-hero but nope.
+ Poor b-team SHIELD agents - all those random agents standing in on the briefing only to be passed over, left at base to maybe be backup. Coulson could throw them a couple bones!
+ I feel like they really should have sent Daisy in with Bobbi as the fake FBI hacker considering the fact that she is an actual hacker. I don't think she's terribly more recognisable to ATCU agents than Hunter.
That said Hunter did a pretty good job and I didn't mind him this episode. I liked his and Bobbi's part of the storyline.
+ Jemma and Fitz actors are playing their scenes wonderfully but... I still don't really buy that Jemma is in love with Fitz. They're best friends, platonic soulmates, 2 halves of the same person and he is certainly in love with her but I can't buy it from her so this ends up not working for me on that level. That said I am still really enjoying them. Like this:
"Are you alphabitising those?" - Fitz
"Don't be ridiculous. I'm organising them by subject and date." - Jemma.
