Once Upon a Time 5x10 & 5x11 Thoughts

5x10 'Broken Heart'
+ "Fine you're being stupid! Stop it." - Regina. Heh.
+ Henry/Emma were lovely. I love how quickly he was willing to help and forgive her.
+ "I need to protect mine." - Belle. This made me very happy. I know they're going to get back together but I like that it isn't going to be that easy. I'm happy that Belle is choosing to take care of herself first.
+ Emma so quickly coming up with the memory wipe solution was pretty clever.
+ Boo to Merlin's death. I was hoping he was just trapped as a tree again or something.
5x11 'Swan Song'
Wow, that ending was aggravating. I'm back to wondering why I'm still watching this show.
+ They had Rumple relapse again?! Seriously?! Are you kidding me?! Ugh. This is so freaking stupid. We have done this over and over. I agree that evil Rumple is way more fun but this is beyond annoying. I will be pissed if they try a redemption story for him again.
+ Emma/Hook were fine but I wasn't moved at all by Hook's death. I guess I am over shipping them.
+ I'd much rather have had Emma succeeding in her plan, sacrificing herself, and that leading to Hook's change of heart and everyone deciding to brave the Underworld to save her at the end. I think that would have had a lot more weight to it and just worked better.
+ The Emma/Snow moment at the library was lovely but no hug or anything from Charming or Henry? It felt off. I liked her parents comforting her at the end but again Charming wasn't really in the scene and felt like an afterthought. I love the Charming/Emma relationship and I miss them.
+ Wow, that Belle/Rumple break was even shorter than I was expecting. Sigh. And once again Rumple is lying to Belle because of course he is. Can she go hook up with Mulan and Red and have adventures in the Enchanted Forest instead?
+ It was nice to see Evil Queen Regina again but the Hook flashback could have really been cut down.
+ Why was Rumple apparently fine with Emma telling her whole family + Robin Hood the truth about him? That is not a way to keep a secret. I have a feeling Belle isn't going to remain in the dark for long.
+ Why is everyone walking into the lake with Emma? So just anyone can enter the Underworld? Emma and Regina are seriously fine taking Henry there?
+ This episode made me sad again that the show never developed the Rumple/Henry relationship. There is so much to they could have done with them, alas.
+ So the Underworld is now a thing that can be accessed and no mention of Neal? Like, I would have rolled my eyes but I still would have accepted the chance of saving Neal as a reason for Rumple to go all Dark One again. But he doesn't even appear to consider the possibility that he could save his son. Whatever show.
+ I wonder what the chances are that they could get James Woods to come on as Hades in 5B? Because that would be amazing. Hades is one of my favourites and I can't see anyone else doing him justice.
