Supergirl 1x06 - 1x09 Thoughts

• Kara and Cat's scenes were excellent. I'm enjoying them so much. I love when Cat mentors Kara and their talk about anger was really good. I liked her defending Kara.
• I continue to love that Kara actually is a really excellent assistant.
• I loved the Kara and James working out their anger together. It was a fun scene that transitioned into something rather poignant and sad as Kara realised the real reason she was so angry. I love that it wasn't jealous over James/Lucy.
• I liked that James gets angry over how General Lane speaks about Superman.
• I'm enjoying Alex/Max.
• I liked Winn being all "you know I have daddy issues". It was kind of cute.
1x07 'Human For a Day'
• The Kara/Cat end scene was lovely.
• "Superman. He's such a need." - Kara. Heh. I loved James's amusement. Their scene talking about his dad was nice too.
• I was pretty annoyed that Kara apologised to Winn. Why? She literally did nothing wrong. Her hug with James was about friendship not her romantic feelings for him. Even if it was about her feelings Winn still doesn't deserve an apology from her. It's her life and he doesn't get to tell her how to live it especially considering his own reaction was about his jealousy.
• Martian Manhunter, yay! I am doubtful about either Jeremiah or the real Hank really being dead.
1x08 'Hostile Takeover'
• I love that Cat figured it out herself! Her catching Kara's slip, putting it all together and then laying it all out for Kara was so great. I loved her expression when Kara took her glasses off, I loved that she thanked Supergirl, I loved her smile.
• As a whole the Cat/Kara scenes were my favourite part of the episode. I also really loved Cat's reaction to Kara's unwavering belief in her and her telling Kara that she'd always have a job with Cat.
• I'm amused that Superman apparently finds it hilarious that J'onn can't read his mind and I love that they know each other.
• The problem with having Kryptonian villains is that it makes no sense that Superman wouldn't get involved.
1x09 'Blood Bonds'
Meh.
• I am super, super annoyed that the show has gone back on Cat knowing the truth. Why is it such a big deal? Cat wouldn't spread the truth in her papers and Kara isn't worried about that. Frankly Cat knowing the truth could only make her life easier.
• "I need you more now then I ever have." - Kara. Despite my annoyance over the show backtracking on Cat knowing she and Kara had some lovely scenes (as per usual). I particularly liked this scene and Kara confessing how important not only her job but Cat as a mentor is to her.
• I loved Kara grabbing Alex her favourite lunch from Chicago.
• Okay, no seriously - there are that many Kryptonians living on Earth and Superman isn't involving himself with the situation in any way? WTH? I don't care what he promised Kara that's not at all believable.
• Also not believable: the commander going against General Lane's order and standing down, and the other men following his lead, because Supergirl saved his life.
• This whole Astra plotline doesn't work for me at all. I thought Astra let herself get captured on purpose as part of a plot, Alex even points out that Supergirl took her down too easily, and yet it doesn't appear so? I seriously don't understand what is even happening with this plotline. Astra knows Non is going to attack Max Lord's building so it was part of a plan but what did they want there? Why did they leave so easily? They had a trap set up for the DEO. What the hell was the whole point of this?
