• This was an amazing Clarke/Lexa episode. They were so so good. Every moment they were on screen together was gold. I loved Clarke's anger and snarky bitchiness towards Lexa [“It’s easier to hate me than to hate yourself.” / “Oh, I can do both.”], I loved their back and forth over what happened at Mount Weather. I loved Clarke holding the knife to Lexa's throat (hot!) and Lexa's gentle honest "I'm sorry.".
Lexa kneeling to Clarke and offering her her fealty was amazing! I love everything about this - how it was shot, their expressions, the fact that it feels like a wedding, the fact that Lexa did it at all, Clarke offering her hand to help Lexa up - but what I loved best was that it once again puts Clarke and Lexa firmly back as equals in all ways. Clarke knelt to Lexa and gave her her loyalty, and Lexa returns the sentiment back. ♥ It was the perfect gesture to show the respect Lexa holds for Clarke and it was beautifully done.
"Everything you do elevates her. Why?" - Titus
"Clarke elevates herself. She's special." - Lexa.
♥ I find myself contemplating the fact that getting canon arranged marriage seems a lot more possible suddenly and I am so there if the show wanted to do that. I love how well Lexa was treading the line between her feelings for Clarke and her place as ruthless commander of her people this episode. But I have the feeling it isn't going to be so easy in the future and a part of me is wondering if Clarke might not be Lexa's downfall.
• I love that Clarke - despite spending 3 months as a forest hermit and a week locked in a suite in Polis - knows exactly what is going on with Lexa. I love that despite her anger and distrust at Lexa she manages to deal with it and do what's best for her people. Lexa tells her "You can't run away from who you are Clarke." and she was completely right. Despite how much Clarke might hate it she is a leader and she can't leave that behind.
• Lexa kicking the Ice Nation representation casually off the tower was awesome. I loved how she doesn't lose her calm at his disrespect and just casually invites him for a chat, and then her fierceness when she kicked him off.
• Poor Bellamy. This was a terrible episode for him. First, he shows up to save the day and is instead wrong and gets Kane's disappointed face; he's betrayed by someone he trusted and liked; then his girlfriend dies and the Mountain he was supposed to protect blows up; and then Clarke decides to stay with her girlfriend instead of returning home with him. Definitely in his top ten worst days.
• After that wonderful almost reunion between Clarke and Bellamy in the last episode how they left things here was really sad. Bellamy looked like he felt kind of betrayed by Clarke's decision to stay and they didn't have the chance to talk at all. It feels like the beginning of some misunderstandings between them.
• I really liked how pleased Kane and Indra were to see each other. Indra had a huge smile, she was so happy to see him! I love that. The little Indra/Octavia moment was also really nice. I hope they make up.
• In 'it's amazing how things have changed #1956' - Octavia opens up to Bellamy about how she doesn't feel like she belongs and he accepts that she might leave. It was a really nice if unexpected moment.
• I like Abby but honestly I think it's best that she step down as Chancellor. Kane is definitely better at it and the fact that he realised so quickly that joining the Coalition was the best option for them, and she didn't, made that clear. Do they still have a Council? Because they should and she should be on it.
• Poor Gina but at least she died being a badass. Stabbed a bunch of times and near death she still drags herself up to the desk to warn Raven and try to save everyone.
• That Raven/Sinclair scene was so lovely.
• So happy that Sinclair survived.
• Not Mount Weather! All that technology, all that art, all that knowledge, the medical facilities... noooo! This is almost causing me physical pain here. Damn you Emerson. Also I'm sad that my whole Mount Weather as hospital Switzerland will never happen.
• That said - the fact that they were looking into getting the missiles working and Pike had already ensconced some of his people there, maybe it's for the best it's gone. Them jumping so quickly to using the missiles made me shake my head so much. How can they think for a second that's a good idea?? Also when I saw Pike there I was half expecting him to seize the mountain and use it's resources against all Grounders again.
• I should know better then to doubt The 100 PTB - Emerson working with the Ice Nation and being behind the destruction of Mount Weather makes so much sense on all levels. Good job show.
• I wish that the kid Lexa was training with in that one scene had been a girl. We're there any girls training in that scene? I also wish that there had been women among the Coalition representatives.
