iariaCastle 8x12 ‘The Blame Game’: I really enjoyed this episode. There were a ton of plot holes but it was fun. I enjoyed watching how Castle and Beckett dealt with the locked rooms. Castle with quick thinking, figuring out the puzzles, his mind always moving. Kate figuring out immediately the game and not even playing. I loved that she took the bullets out of the gun and then created a bomb to blow the door. I loved that Castle and Beckett figured out that Todd was behind it all basically at the same time and worked together perfectly to deal with him without one word having to be exchanged. It was so great to see Hayley again and I really wish she’d be around more. Also my Hayley/Alexis shipping is alive and well. That end scene with them was so great. I loved Hayley comforting Alexis and then forcing her to go out partying with her.
Elementary 4.13 'A Study in Charlotte': The case was average but the B plot with Joan and the neighbour was great. I liked Garby a lot and I hope we see more of him. Joan was fabulous and this subplot really highlighted her innate kindness and compassion. I like that she was so bothered about inadvertently chasing Garby out of his own home that she investigated the fire and figured out it was arson thus getting it back for him. It might have been easier overall for them to buy it themselves but it wouldn’t have been the kind choice. I loved her offering to pay for sound proofing as a house warming gift. The gift of the jar of honey was also lovely [though how much was that actually from Sherlock, I wonder.) I just really liked the way she reached out to him to try and reach a satisfactory conclusion for all of them. I also liked that they were the ones who inadvertently chased him away because that actually makes complete sense. Oh, and I also loved Joan suspecting that Sherlock set the fire and him being completely unbothered because ‘it makes sense’.
The Big Bang Theory 9x17 ‘The Celebration Experimentation’
+ The Penny/Sheldon interactions were the highlight. I really loved their bathroom scene. I loved her suggesting about bringing a few people into the bathroom (“weirdest comic con ever”), her being supportive of whatever it was Sheldon needed even if it was staying in the bathroom, I liked her confessing that in the past she would have been one of the people torturing him but that now he was one of her favourite people, and ”Sweetie, you are weird.”
+ The hug was delightful. ”You know I used to hate these hugs. Now they’re just extremely irritating.” Except he’s holding on just as much as she is. The awkwardness is no longer there and even if he can’t admit it he is clearly enjoying the hug. I loved Leonard and Amy arguing who’s the best person to check on Sheldon and Penny just throwing up her hands at it and doing it herself.
+ The boys bringing Adam West to the party so that Sheldon could finally have Batman at his birthday was really sweet. The scene with them in the car debating who was the best Batman was great. He did feel wasted at the party itself and it was definitely a waste that we didn’t get a scene between him and Sheldon.
+ It was nice seeing Leslie again and I liked her speech to Sheldon. Wil’s speech was good too.
+ Poor Stuart he just can’t win. I do like that Penny at least acknowledged him and his feelings which is more than anyone else does even if she also brushed them off a bit. Pathetic Stuart that everyone ignores is getting a little old.
