Dragonball Super

A couple random thoughts while watching the first five episodes:
+ Goku letting Goten drive the tractor was irresponsible but funny.
+ Vegeta standing on the roof during the flight to their vacation and Bulma decided to make it interesting for him was fun.
+ I loved the Brief's family vacation. It delights me that Vegeta did that for them. I loved that Bulma and Trunks enjoyed it to their fullest while it lasted but weren't surprised or disappointed when it ended with Vegeta precipitously taking off.
+ Why is Vegeta suddenly taller than Bulma? I guess he had a growth spurt between seasons. I'm rather amused in thinking about everyone's reactions but also a little annoyed because I liked that she was taller than him and that he was so short.
+ Piccolo being in Gohan’s wedding photo was really lovely (although we didn’t see ChiChi in the shot which bugged me).
+ Goku seems a little more self-absorbed and obsessed with fighting then I remember. But it's been awhile so I could be wrong. I liked that he remembered on his own that he was missing Bulma’s birthday... but then decided to skip it anyway because he didn't like parties. Oh, Goku.
+ I love that Bulma gathered the dragonballs to use as first prize in her birthday bingo tournament. That really honestly is an amazing first prize. I also loved that she rented a cruise ship for her party. And her other gifts were a car, a plane and a castle.
+ I just wish that they'd had other random people at the party (especailly considering it was on a giant ass cruise ship.) Other friends, coworkers or people from wider society that she'd know. It feels too insular with only the dragonball gang there especially since her whole life isn't wrapped up entirely in them.
+ It's weird that both Vegeta and Goku skipped the party to train - separately. You'd think they be fighting each other since they'd give the other the best practice.
+ I’m enjoying the Beerus/Whis interactions.
+ Kai agreeing that Goku is a big idiot amused me.
