Hollywood Ending

It was okay. There were some fun parts but it felt rather anti-climatic and as a final episode it was a bit lacklustre.

+ I would still watch the Peggy/Howard/Jarvis show because they are delightful together. All of Peggy's reactions to Howard being Howard were wonderful. The golf exchange between Jarvis and Howard ["use a seven iron"] was great. Of course he's golf into a rift in the fabric of space. I love that Howard was the first one to Peggy when she started getting pulled to the rift.

+ Jarvis's betrayed expression when Peggy told him she rang for a taxi was hilarious as was his "splended!" gleeful reaction after. They were as always lovely.

+ I love Howard. He is so much fun and I wish he'd been on the show more. I liked him flirting with Rose. I loved his idea to steal the equation from Whitney and his honest admiration for her.

+ I really liked Peggy/Jack this ep. Both of their scenes were perfect. I loved the scene where he arrives to help, Peggy sends him to get lunch and then he actually does it. That was such a great character growth moment for him. Their scene at the abandoned movie set was also really great. I loved her calling him a good man and him sharing his key discovery. I wanted to see them working together to figure out what it was for. I hope he isn't actually dead.

+ "Well I've learned not to dwell on what might have been." Oh, Peggy.

+ I'm glad that Wilkes survived and I like that he's working for Howard now. But I found the resolution to his relationship with Peggy a little lacking. I think I needed at least one scene of them seriously talking through everything that happened and their feelings. In the last episode Peggy was willing to go to such extremes to save him, believed in him so much and then here it simply fizzled out.

+ I didn't like that Whitney ended up out of her mind and locked up in an asylum.

+ I enjoyed Manfredi - I loved that he and Howard were friends, I liked his continued devotion to Whitney, him accidentally discovering one of his guys was working for the FBI was fun - and I actually felt really sorry for him at the end.

+ Peggy/Sousa, apparently, being end game leaves me exceedingly meh.

+ How would letting Sousa get sucked into the vortex close it? It wouldn't? They needed the power source to the cannon to do it. That bit doesn't make sense to me.
