Marriage, Not Dating
May. 1st, 2016 11:30 pmI'm really enjoying this drama. It's light and fun, and very amusing.
+ Jang-mi is lovely. I love her sincerity and how open she is. Even if it leads her into accidentally stalking and some rather embarrassing situations. And some painful heartbreak. I love that she stands up for herself. I love how generous a person she is.
+ I really like Ki-tae as well. I like that he can be harsh with the truth (as he sees it), abrupt and a bit of an ass but he can also be kind at the moments that really need it. Also his barely concealed glee during Jang-mi's introductory meeting with his family was fun.
+ Jang-mi/Ki-tae are great already. I'm enjoying a lot of their back and forth. The scene where he tells her that Hoon-dong broke up with her, Ki-tae following her to try and convince to help him, the shopping trip, the dinner... it's great. I like how he's already feeling protective of her.
+ I love Yeo-reum. He has the best smiles. Like, they are seriously gorgeous and they make me want to smile too. I love how utterly amused he is by Hoon-dong's neverending failure as a person.
+ I assumed in the pilot that that Jang-mi and Yeo-reum hadn't met before but then the second episode left me with a different impression. I ended the episode thinking that Yeo-reum actually had a thing for Jang-mi while she was dating Hoon-dong. He seemed pretty invested in her maintaining her niceness for someone who only met her a couple days ago. I rather like this idea even if it is probably completely wrong. I really loved that moment at the buffet and him showing up at the end with shoes for her was so good. Sigh, poor Secondary Romantic Lead. I already love you and you are so doomed to failure.
+ I like the friendship between Jang-mi and Hyun-hee. I liked Hyun-hee having her back at the club.
+ Hoon-dong is an ass and a complete failure as a person but he amuses me. His gleeful dancing in the background during the hotel scene was hilarious. I loved his reaction at the bar when he finally turned on his phone again and saw all her calls. His reactions to her a) 'dating' Ki-tae and b) being gorgeous in his restaurant were satisfyingly great. His failure at the auction on the other hand was just embarrassing.
