Episode 14

+ Jang-mi and Ki-tae are adorable. I loved that final conversation and them finally being honest with each other. Ki-tae asking her to be with him that night without sleeping and them both devolving into giggles made me smile so much. And judging by their clothes all over the livingroom the next morning they had some fun! I also enjoyed the opening scene with Jang-mi telling him "Don't be so clingy!" (LOL) and then surprising him with a kiss and escaping while he was all googly-eyed over it.

+ At first I was wtf about Hyun-hee being the investor in Yeo-reum/Jang-mi's restaurant but once she explained her thinking - she wanted to make money for herself not be only beholden to her husband - I not only loved it but it actually made me like Hyun-hee more. That said choosing a competing business to her husband's failing one was probably not the best choice?

+ I'm super curious about just how Hyun-hee came to be an investor in the restaurant. The two of them haven't really had a relationship despite being within the same circle. I do love that they apparently decided together from the start that they wanted Jang-mi as a part of it. I love how much enjoyment the three of them are getting from their new business and how well they all work together.

+ I love that after overhearing Se-ah trying to recruit Ki-tae to her practice Hoon-dong immediately went to Jang-mi to tattle. And while he was there ended up helping them with some prep (which is more than he ever did at his own restaurant!)

+ I loved Yeo-reum talking to both Jang-mi and Ki-tae about their relationship and giving them good advice.

Episode 15

+ I didn't think it was possible to feel worse for Bong-hyang but this episode delivered in spades. Basically any interaction with her husband is terrible because he is the worst but that restaurant scene was a bit much even for him. Then Ki-tae lit into her while she was already feeling low.

Then we got that backstory and it made so much sense and made me feel for Bong-hyang so much. She did leave her husband when she learned he was cheating - and then grandma kidnapped Ki-tae back and she had no choice but to stay because she couldn't/wouldn't give him up. Suddenly she makes so much sense.

This episode also confirmed that I kind of love her now. Which is why it was so satisfying when Ki-tae called her, compared her to Jang-mi and then got all emotional and broke down into tears and thus showing how much he truly does love her. It made me emotional and I got teary-eyed during it. I love that Ki-tae best memory, the thing that made him feel safest, was actually of he and his mom living alone together in that house.

I really want Bong-hyang to have all the best things at this point. I want her to get a divorce, to get the close relationship with Ki-tae that they both deserve, to maybe become more involved in the restaurant and find her own passion/interests, to become good friends with Jang-mi (that they are already on their way to being), to be surrounded by friends (the wife if the college director would be a great start - she's lovely.)

+ I love the Bong-hyang/Jang-mi relationship. I loved their bonding scene towards the end. Bong-hyang actually smiled! In a way it was sad because she just seemed so pleased to have someone friendly there showing her some care but also lovely because they have come so far and she genuinely was happy to see Jang-mi. I loved them getting drunk together and then their argue/debate over how much Bong-hyang would get for her kimchi.

+ Ki-tae trying to be so cute/adorable that So-nyeo would give him her approval to be with Jang-mi again was pretty cute and her responding by chasing him around the room, hitting him with the flower bouquet was amusing.

+ The reveal about So-nyeo's cancer makes her actions over the last few episodes a little more understandable. I feel sad for all of them. I rather like that it's Ki-tae who learns about it first. Before the reveal Ki-tae had a really nice friendship beginning with So-nyeo and with Jang-mi helping and bonding with Bong-hyang it feels appropriate for us to get the same with Ki-tae/So-nyeo.

+ Grandma's line in one of the earlier episodes about it all being all her fault also makes sense now too. It really seriously was. That was a shitty thing she did. Though I'm sure that she's spent years regretting that decision.

+ I loved grandma pretending to be ill as revenge on Jang-mi for her lying.

+ Ki-tae's dad is seriously the worst. Even his mistress looked seriously appalled and she got in his wife's face at a mall and smacked his future daughter-in-law in the face.

+ I loved Jang-mi's little fantasy of throwing the pitcher in dad's face, her deranged laugh was a delight, but my favourite part was after imagining it instead of keeping calm she decided it was an excellent idea and actually moved to do it. Oh, Jang-mi. I love her.

+ Yeo-reum calling Ki-tae to tell him that Jang-mi fell for his aunt's obviously false story amused me.
