Episode 16

A good finale that wraps up all the plot bits and stays true to the characters. I really enjoyed this series.

• I wanted to bang my head against a wall a bit during the wedding - they just figured out that communication is key and now suddenly they're back to not getting everything out in the open immediately? Though at least they didn't get married angry. That said, Jang-mi was completely correct that how the wedding played out was totally 'them'. I suppose it's even fitting for Jang-mi to throw one last scene and for them to fight at the alter just as they do everywhere else (and make up as they always do.) The two of them exchanging rings and a kiss in the rain was a really lovely way to end the series.

• I'm very happy that Jang-mi and Ki-tae stayed adorable from the beginning to the end of this drama. They were great here. I liked their play fight over her dad's postcards. Ki-tae's proposal was sweet and I loved Jang-mi being unconvinced at first and then as he won her over she kept having secret little smiles to herself. Her demanding he take it back once she learned there was no ring was cute to. I really loved the bathtub scene.

• The scenes between Bong-hyang, grandma and aunt Mi-jung were so wonderful and emotional. The three of them holding each other, crying, after grandma gave Bong-hyang permission to leave and live her own life even got me teary-eyed. I love how much they love each other. Then there was the great scene where Bong-hyang asks the two of them to continue living in the house with her but as friends this time and the three of them fall into each others arms this time crying happy tears. Possibly one of the best parts of that is the way all three of them completely ignore dad/Soo-Hwan.

• I really loved that little scene with Jang-mi and her mother where Jang-mi crawled into bed with So-nyeo and hugged her close while telling her that she would stay with her.

• I loved Yeo-reum giving Ki-tae a giant bearhug in greeting at the wedding. I loved him and Jang-mi taking pictures and just being obviously close friends afterward. I'm ending this series really loving their friendship far more than their romance even. They have such an ease with each other that I love.

• Three things I'm sad about:

- Yeo-reum leaving the restaurant - for no real reason I can see except to precipitate Ki-tae's jealous/worry. The three of them were so good together. :(

- We didn't get a final scene between Bong-hyang/Jang-mi. I really grew very attached to their relationship and I wanted one last moment between them.

- I also would have loved a scene between Jang-mi and Hoon-dong because they ended up building a nice friendship.
