The 100 3x14 Review

This was a great episode. I really enjoyed it.
• I loved Luna. I liked her very different from what we usually see philosophy and that she created a safe haven to live by it. I loved that she stayed true to herself and her principles from the start of the episode to the end. Also of course her being physically kickass was pretty awesome. The way she took out her own people the instant they brought in one of the children shows just how committed she is to non violence - she let them torture her to do so!
• I loved this exchanged between Clarke and Luna:
"Remember Clarke, the path of violence is a choice." - Luna
"When the choice is fight or die there is no choice." - Clarke.
I feel like they both right here. I really hope we see Luna again and get more of Clarke and Luna's conflicting views, especially with regards to how they lead.
• Clarke's idea to force the flame on Luna, oh boy. Wow was that such a bad idea and I was so happy with how it ended up playing out. Thank god, Luna was quicker and stronger than Clarke, and also that she is so committed to peace that she didn't hold it against Clarke. But seriously - forcing an AI on someone is never the right choice. I loved Octavia calling her out on that. [Even though she was wrong on ALIE giving people a choice.]
Bellamy on the other hand immediately supported Clarke and started working out how to help her do it. Completely expected and I still love how they so easily have each others back. What I had a problem with was his response to Octavia that "we gave Luna a choice. She said no." ... yeah, and that is a valid option in making a choice which is why you take that no and accept it, wtf Bellamy?
• I liked that Clarke asked the others "Give me a better idea." - I truly believe that she wanted them to have one. She always does. But like so often is the case they didn't. So she went ahead with her flawed plan. Which takes us to the last scene: "Now what?" ... and they all look at Clarke. Because despite the fact that they sometimes hate the choices she makes, that they decry the consequences of them, they all still expect her to make them.
• Monty was so great. I loved him being all sensible re: keeping to the plan and stopping Raven from jumping in half-cock. (Well he tried.) I liked him checking to make sure Harper wasn't chipped (it was also kind of adorable.) I loved, and also felt so bad for him, when he chose to delete his mom - killing her for a second time to for the greater good. Ugh, poor Monty. But at least this time he has Harper now?
• Monty/Harper kind of came out of nowhere in that there wasn't any real build-up between them this season that I remember but between their experience in Mount Weather and the fact that they spent a few months on Arcadia's guard together I can buy it. And I love Monty and really like Harper and they deserve to be happy and safe (if only for a little while) so I can get behind this.
• I loved Raven's 'finally' when she saw them in bed together.
• We got the most perfect exchange about this show:
Harper: It's been two days with no one trying to kill us.
Monty: It won't last.
Harper: I know. But are we just supposed to spend out time between attacks dreading the next one?
Their lives, seriously.
• Emori's denial that her hand was a defect - "I would if I had any." - was awesome.
• "To wait for Clarke like always." - Raven. Hmm. Looks like Octavia and Jasper aren't the only ones still resentful of Clarke. It makes me a little sad. I miss them. Also I totally get Raven’s single minded drive to take out ALIE but she probably should have taken that nap instead. Along with all new computer knowledge I wonder how else that chip has affected her mind?
• ALIE's made a couple really dumb decisions lately. She only sent Hannah to the drop ship which allowed Monty and Octavia to escape with a power source and free Raven. [Send a mini army!] She left her backback backup generator in the temple with only two guards even knowing Murphy et al were going for it. [Move the backpack, fill the room with guards!] She didn't leave anyone behind at Arcadia to keep it secure even though she was in the Ark's computers and knew that Raven et al were still out there. [She should have left a skeleton crew in a secured shut Arkadia.] ALIE's problem is that she is far too over-confident.
• ALIE transferring herself to space and one of the ark stations still apparently operable was, on the other hand, really damn smart.
