I Hear Your Voice Episode 7 Thoughts

This was a really good episode.
• Wow, that was a tense end! If Choon-shim dies I am going to be so mad. She can't die. She's the best mom. If she does that was a pretty badass end I suppose. I guess if she knows he's going to kill her telling him she pities him and then laughing in his face is good way to do it. I loved that she chose to use her final words to urge Hye-sung not to lose her life to vengeance and her complete confidence to Joon-gook that Hye-sung would never be like him because she didn't raise her like that. I also loved her refusing to put her daughter in danger... but at the same time why not say 'call the police'? In any case, I'm clinging to the hope that in Choon-shim's dream Hye-sung got rescued from the water so she will too. I really don't want her to die and I'm honestly worried that the show will kill her off.
• It really seems like Joon-gook jumped the gun here. I mean Hye-sung was going to be there the next day so why not wait till she was there, off guard, and do whatever revengy thing he had planned? Wouldn't killing her mother in front of her be better? And then she would be right there for him to kill too? What was even the point of the security camera then, misdirection?
Other than the end there was a lot of cuteness this episode.
• I love Hye-sung continuing to grow not just as a lawyer but as person. I loved that it was Kwan-woo this episode that was inspiring her to be better, to have empathy.
• Hye-sung and Kwan-woo were pretty adorable throughout. The flirting over the chocolates at the beginning made me aww. The hug was great, and the way it shocked Hye-sung into immobility during the entire time he was wrapping up the case made me lol. I loved him turning the high five into kissing her hand and then asking her straight out to date him. They were adorable.
• Also adorable [as always] were Soo-ha and Hye-sung. I love the little background stuff the show does with them helping each other - this time we get Hye-sung opening a water bottle for injured Soo-ha and the scene where he takes the water from her and pours it into a glass. That made me lol. He's teaching her manners! I love how she doesn't even blink whenever he does stuff like that. Soo-ha jumping to protect her from the lettuce bucket like it was something dangerous was adorably sweet. And then Hye-sung being all fired up and vengeful because he got hurt was lovely. I love how they take care of each other.
I love how enthusiastic she was about talking to him with her thoughts. I love it more when I think about how this is a first for him - the first time having a two-way conversation on purpose with someone enthusiastic. That long shot of them happily 'talking' is one of my favourites thus far.
I loved them working together as a team to get the newspaper guy to drop the charges. Their kind of giggly meeting at the coffee shop right before was also great and Soo-ha's happiness during that scene and over her reaction to him in a suit made me smile so much.
Of course no episode would be complete without Soo-ha angsting over Hye-sung and his expression when she told Kwan-woo she liked him was so sad.
• This was a really great Kwan-woo episode.
+ His handling of the case, the way he gave it his all even though he was mad, and how he was able to see things from the grandpa's point of view (... no the way he forced himself to look further into the situation to see the other view point) was wonderful. He really is a good guy and a good lawyer.
+ His trash can tantrum was hilarious especially since it was in front of the judges. The fact that he then immediately picks up all the trash was just so him.
+ Kwan-woo waving the papers at Do-jeon, lol. He has totally been spending too much time with Hye-sung.
• Soo-ha meeting the grandpa (by accident, sure) and contriving a way to give him food without insulting his pride was a really lovely character moment.
• The lunch confrontation between Hye-sung and Do-yeon was delightful and I loved them using the lazy-susan against each other, everyone's reactions and the judge plaintively breaking it up because he wanted to eat.
