If Even You Leave in Difficult Days

• Amnesia? Really? ... I guess it could add an interesting twist to the Soo-ha/Hye-sung relationship. This time it's Hye-sung who has more feelings for him [though I don't think she's in love with him] and it could give us a chance to watch him fall in love with her all over again which could be fun. I only hope he hasn't lost his mind reading ability.

• I love that it was Soo-ha who ended up stabbing Hye-sung. He's spent ten years preparing himself to protect her but has also been consumed by his hate for Joon-gook and a desire for revenge. So it makes sense that the two impulses would have to butt up against each other at some point. Hye-sung accidentilly getting caught in the crossfire [because of her need to protect him!] is perfect. It really works for me.

At the same time I really wish the actual stabbing had played out slightly different. More Hye-sung getting inadvertantly caught in the crossfire, less her purposefully jumping in the way of the knife. I mean she could have just pushed him away, no? The way she actually did it was so very dumb. What if she'd died? Then she would have caused Soo-ho to kill and how does she think that could ever help him or his situation? It would have broken him.

That said I loved everything after the stabbing. Soo-ha's expression when he realised he'd stabbed her and the broken little noise he makes, Hye-sung scolding him for not listening to her as if he didn't just stab her, Soo-ha cradling her in his arms, Soo-ha turning to take the knife blow to protect her, Soo-ha's rage as he hits then strangles Joon-gook, the fact that Soo-ha stops because Hye-sung calls to him and choose to go to her instead, her ordering him to not confess -- it was all sooo good!

• I love that Hye-sung has spent a year chasing after look-alike Soo-ha's much like he spent ten years doing the same for her. I also love that she sleeps with the bear he got for her.

• Hye-sung sending her mom text messages every day [for the last year] is so sad. This show really has a knack for making me cry.

• Kwan-woo taking over the situation with the cops was great. I was really surprised that he didn't go back to being one when he left being a lawyer because it would have made far more sense. He felt guilty for getting Joon-gook off and part of the reason he was able to do so was lack of evidence (somehow, it makes no sense but whatever) so you'd think he'd turn that guilt into becoming determined to stop bad guys and making sure there'd be rock solid evidence against them. It could also make it easier to push Kwan-woo back into Hye-sung's orbit especially with Soo-ha now being up for murder. Kwan-woo as a cop investigating it would make so much sense. I'm rather disappoint that the show didn't go there, tbh.

• I love that Sung-bin was still going to Hye-sung's office and giving her manicures. How amazing would it be if Hye-sung mentored Sung-bin?

• I loved how protective, and proactive in that protectiveness, Sung-bin was towards Soo-ha.

• I haven't had much of an opinion on Choong-ki but him cleaning out Soo-ha's locker in advance of the police arriving to search it was great. Sung-bin freaking out at him amused me.

• I shake my head at Hye-sung going back to her first episode form of lawyering but I actually don't hate it? It doesn't entirely make sense to me that she would fall back into apathy for a year but I ended up finding it hilarious. Mostly because of everyone's reactions. The judges and Do-yeon's exasperation over it, because they know she is so much better than this, make me smile just thinking about it.

• I liked the Do-yeon/Hye-sung elevator scene.
